Interlock systems function by preventing the bus from either starting or rolling if any of the emergency exits are open or locked. With a bus full of kids, this function is pretty important. With just a couple of people, though, it may turn out to be more hassle than it's worth. (From my perspective anyway). Thus, I decided to remove it.
However, I have heard stories of people cutting wires and suddenly the bus won't start or alarms won't stop, and then they struggle to backtrack to find the problem. So, trying to learn from their trials and tribulations, I took a systematic approach to remove each interlock component one at a time, labeling each wire, and making sure that the bus started and moved at each interval.
If you have a different interlock system in your bus, tell me about it in the comments. I'm interested to see how other busses work!
Thanks for watching.
