How to find a cheap Condo in THAILAND! Keis and I rent 2 bikes and take a ride from Pattaya Beach to Bangsaray Beach, exploring cheap apartments for rent. I secured a cheap condo in Jomtien, a short walk from the beach :)

Nice one dude. Good info. My condo is owned by someone in China but managed by a local company. Lowered the price by signing for a year. Absolutely no issues with them. Brand new, fully furnished condo in Pratumnak close to the beach, never lived in for a quarter the price of Vancouver where I'm from. Fantastic.

What's the name of the building if you wouldn't mind sharing? I am living in Phrom Phong at the moment, but my lease is up in October and I want to move around the Jomtien/Pratumnak area. Looking for a new/modern style condo, but whenever I look online most of the stuff I see in those areas is a bit older.

They're small Sam. 1 bedrooms like ours are 27-41 sm. Studios are 21-25 sm. They also have 2 bedrooms. Although small our place is nicely furnished and has usable balcony. Everything included such as kitchen fully equipped, nice bedding and a very functional layout. Wifi included. 15,000 baht/1 year lease on ours. Nice chatting today with you. Cheers

Great vid, mate! lots of good info. I went through Fazwaz when I got in this time because they get paid by the owner of the condo, not you, so i gave them a monthly budget of 40k, 2br, a pool and gym in the general Silom/Sathorn area and she came back a few days later with some listings. I ended up taking the first one I saw and I'm still here 9 months later. even got the 6 month contract and the best view of south east Bangkok, ever. My agent talked to everyone for me, including hooking up the internet and organizing a regular cleaner that speaks English. If you get the budget, I highly recommend. Absolutely agree on the going for a walk part. I was looking at buying a small studio in Jomtien for under 50k, but I need to actually see and, like you said, smell the area to grasp convenience and what's actually available in the area. I have mobility issues as well, so movement to 7-11 or a good restaurant needs consideration. Well Done and congrats on the new place!

Good luck mate. I know an expat in Chiang Mai whose digital nomad gig is turning sheets in condos owned by other expats. Basically making sure keeping it squared it away for some expat whose just bought a place and not too concerned with doing the yards. Of course he also offloaded some of those yards off to a local.

@@johnnysukhumvit9242I believe HongKong Running was explaining that he knows of expats doing rental management for money. Sounds like the fellow acts as a go-between person between tenants and owners? It’s likely he outsources some of the management tasks to local Thais also :)

Risky to pay 6 month up front.. Low season now, so many choices. Would not be a problem to find a condo you can pay month by month. Pay 6 month.. you dont know the condo, you dont know the neighbours, how is the parking going to be, so many varies.. And you not going to get the money back, if you want to move out after lets say 2 months.. But thank you for nice videos, nice places you go, and you and Keis make a good team :)

China usually 4 floors or less are stairs. …. They get the larger furniture up by rope on the balcony… bought a full size piano by rope up to 10th floor…
