how I replaced the water pump in my Bissell proheat

Hi great video! How did you figure out you needed to replace the pump? My carpet cleaner won't spray water the bottom.

Every thing worked except the pump.

the water wouldn't pass through the pump, after checking all the lines.

hey mate quick question, ive got a prheat here with me and it willl only sometimes spew water out like its suppose to. ive serviced it in every way besides replacing the pump itself.... what issues were you having that forced you to replace it

I found it on the side of the road, It look like it was in good condition, but I knew that something had to be wrong. sometimes people are lazy and throw machines out when they become clogged. I would disassemble the whole thing and clean them and they work fine. I did the same thing with this one. I even replaced the water lines and pump. it work for a wile. seems to be a bad design.

My cleaner sprays for a short time then stops. Seems to be alot of air making it's way into lines also. Everything has been cleaned and no blockages. Would you all recommend the pump being the issue. Read something about them loosing the precharge

The metal gear on my pump (that spins the brush belt)detached from that red piece. Is the whole pump shot, or can I just glue it or replace just that red part?

I just removed 4 screws and it seems like it is a part of the whole spindle. So see if you replace it.
