Such a great testimony! I was diagnosed from the start with Hashimoto's in 2005, but was never advised about lifestyle changes. Put on levothyroxine by default, starting with 12 and now using 100 mcg. As you mentioned, the symptoms worsened, weight gain, insulin resistance, all went wrong. Functional medicine is almost inexistent in our country. I started researching on my own, read your book and since I drastically changed my diet my TSH dropped to half. Still working on lowering antibodies, hopefully the medication too (I will not accept any increase anymore) and including more movement. I am so mad about this lack of knowledge and the fact that the medication probably did more damage than good by slowing down the thyroid, but we work with what we have. Thank you for your shared knowledge! 🙏🏻

@prishasmom3558 Switched to a whole plant based diet, introduced seaweed and green smoothies (spinach, curcumin, black pepper, lemon, ginger, cinnamon, celery, blackberries, kiwi), one cup of green tea or a vegan matcha latte every day, fast for 12-13h max. Cut out sugar, dairy, gluten (high sensitivity) and processed seed oil, lowered my carb and caffeine intake, increased fiber intake. Supplement on rotation with a bioavailable multivitamin, zinc (glycinate), selenium (selenomethionine), inositol, black cumin oil and maca powder, D3+K2 and Omega3. Walk 1-2h daily, slow strength training 2-3x per week and bedtime before 10pm (aim for 8h of sleep). Still working on reducing stress. All of these improved my markers and symptoms tremendously.
