During your reconciliation review- is it a red flag also that all the reconciliations were done on the same date?
@BookkeeperBootcamp Жыл бұрын
Sometimes yes. I don’t like bulk reconciling like that. It’s hard to tell if they have duplicates. The cleanup tends to be more complex.

Hi I need to ask you one thing that in one interview last week the interviewer ask me to do account coding before starting the bookeeping so what does that mean? could you please explain me
@BookkeeperBootcamp2 жыл бұрын
Yes, account coding is when you use numerical digits to group & separate accounts on the COA. So for example you would use the number “1” for Assets (10000 = checking acct, 11000 = savings acct, 15000 = Fixed Assets, 15050 = Computer Equipment)…..then use “2” for Liabilities, “3” for Equity…and so on. So eventually when done right, every account on the COA would have a number followed by the account name. That way when you know exactly which account is which and categorizing is much less confusing. Hope this helped! Feel free to email me for more questions ❤️Cici
