Damn man, that sucks 😢 Hope you get it cleaned up. If not, there's always new seats and a bit of carpet work. Perhaps it's time to upgrade some sound dampening material as well? 😁

Yeah most of it cleaned up, will probably give the boot another wet vacuum with some degreaser, Golf is very refined don't think it really needs sound dampening. Thanks for the comment 🙏🏼

Ffs I remember when that happened to my golf, I threw the seats out and cut of some of the carpet as 5 litres dropped, I feel your pain bro

hi himi I'm glad the clean up went well it probably needed a good clean any way ... did you ever think about fitting the DV+ I think it makes a lot of different between gear changes as it keeps boost pressure in the intercooler.. iv had my fair share of problems with my mk5 myself

It isn't a mk5 without problems, I've thought about it ... but my cars running fine on the Rev G so can't really justify the cost of buying a DV+. There is a video from 'North Coast Workshop' (channel name) where he fits a DV+ replacing a Rev D.

@@HimiJ I took my golf up to fit a new downpipe with sports cat and they noticed a crack in manifold and you know what that means lol. so now have a fully rebuilt k03 so I naturaly did a few more this like new coil pack... a second service in 4000 miles .. new n80 valve.. cam follower.. sump drop and oil pick up none of which was cheap as it was done at a vw specialist.. + the new turbo and buying a shit one just to cover some miles but like you said it's all about the gti love lol
