Hey Nathan, I wanted to pass on that I smashed my Half Marathon PB last Sunday!!! I knocked 2mins and 47secs off my previous PB to run 1:18:47 - finally breaking the 1hr 20min mark and hitting a 10 Mile PB along the way too. Thanks for all of this great content as ever.

Youre proving that alot of volume was done in your zone1 & zone2 heartrates as a large chunk of that 100mile wk. (84%) . Alot of new runners dont understand or appreciate this. I added it up but wouldnt be surprised if only 16% of your volume was over 88% of your lt2 heartrate essentially in zone2 oxidising fatty acids in your type 1 fibres. Youve been building incredible Mitochondrial density 😊.

100 miles a week is great and impressive. Im typically a 50 to 60 mile a week guy. Once I ran 175km in a week (in a monthly challenge thing) very easy pace but had to run 3 times a day sometimes 😂 never again I think, unless I could quit work and only run.

You are doing awesome RTP and are well prepared for Valencia. I hear ya man, I am retired from corporate work and there is NO WAY I would be putting in this type of mileage while working full time. I did train well over 120 miles a week while I was but I was in my early 30s then. Mileage is relative, some runners can do far better with far less mileage and others need more. Good luck in Spain and keep up the superior work.

@rundreamachieve Yeah I feel ready, but appreciate your support , tips, ideas, knowledge and positivity. If I can just stay healthy and cold free for 10 more days, then the race is in hands 🤞

Hey coach I was wondering if you think it is too much for a 15 year old to be doing 50 miles a week? I am building up to it right now and I focus on recovery every night, and I also make sure most of my mileage is easy.
@rundreamachieveАй бұрын
Yes, it is high but if you feel strong and are paying close attention to your recovery runs I think it is doable..you're running around where I was running when I was 15. Keep up the superior work.
@Mario-b7y-h7sАй бұрын
@ thanks coach I will be sure to be careful and make sure I’m going slow on recovery days

Sir all the 1500m athletes have similar type of their base phase workout,speed workout, threshold workout but why Jakob ingribrigsten dominant in the 1500m race or 5k race, why most of the athletes not win against Jakob ingribrigsten most of the time is there any specific workout that jakob do. What's the important reason plz reply sir
@rundreamachieveАй бұрын
very important not to compare yourself (or others runners comparing themselves) to Jakob. He is an outlier but also someone who has been training very hard at a very young age. No runner in history has ever run 3:30 for 1500m indoors, 7:54 for 2 miles and probably his most incredible WR time of 7:17 for 3k. To catch up the athlete has to have very similar physiological capabilities and be extremely mentally tough which at this point, no runner has. Keep up the great work out there Avinash
