Preston what's the difference between a client and a candidate? And how do I learn service delivery?

Clients are companies that are hiring, candidates are applicants who’s resumes we submit to the clients to consider

Gotta be honest these recruiting companys are pretty annoying. I prefer going through the company directly.

And this is why I can’t find a job with good pay, health insurance and permanent status! Contracts and middle men like this one 😡

Okay..there will always be and always have been middlemen. They provide a service. Don’t blame them, blame the customer that doesn’t think you’re worth the “good pay, health insurance, and permanent status”. You’re just…not that marketable. And frankly, these middlemen PROVIDE YOU a foot in the door. It’s your job to impress. Don’t cry lol

@@jimjs5672i whole heartedly disagree. It has never been an issue getting noticed. What your missing in your analysis is that employers are becoming less and less loyal to employees and more to stakeholders and shareholders. You can see this over time, it’s well documented. My problem is that middle men pass on the cost burden to employees instead of the employer. They will give a bill rate pretty much right on where a new hire should be so the the new hire eats the cost in lower wages and no insurance. What should happen is that the bill rate should be higher to account for the services being done, I won’t deny its value it some cases. This way the candidate isn’t getting the short end of the stick. In a state like Massachusetts where I live, you are penalized for not having health insurance. To not provide that at all for a full-time position, especially one that requires bachelors degrees or any kind of self investment certification is just wrong, I’d go as far to say it should be criminal. Just like how we through tax, we subsidize low income workers at billion-dollar organizations like Walmart or Amazon. Simply accepting the status quo is how they keep moving the goal post further and further back on our side, if you aren’t pushing back or critiquing certain hiring patterns, you’re part of the problem or you’re probably a middle man yourself looking to rationalize your hiring behavior. I get it tho.. it’s what we humans do I guess. Idk, we can agree to disagree.

The middlemen get you hired on the temp contract. Then it's your job to over deliver so they hire you permanently at the end of the temp contract. That's a win win scenario for everyone.
