@@EMENIKEPjust got a 2001 Honda accord (6th gen) 211211 miles for 1.5k no issues and runs like a champ. Only thing I need is motor mount replacement and that’s it.

7th gen civic are the worst civic surprisingly. But at the same time I have seen them with 300k + miles.

Have you had to replace the engine or transmission or just regular maintenance and have you had any issues passing smog?@SmaySon

Got an immaculate one from 05 with the facelift and with 86.000 miles on it that belonged to an older gentleman. I needed a car to basically get me through the year after crashing with my previous older one, and the idea was to purchase a new car anyway after that year so the civic would do fine. But After a while the civic grew on me. I made some modifications on it and I had 0 problems so far. In the end, me and my wife just traded in her small car and invested on a new family car that she uses daily. I kept the civic as a 2nd car for my daily driving. It has lots of room and a sportier feel to it, doesn't let me down at all. I intend to drive it until the wheels fall off.

don't ever take a loan out on a car if you're trying to save money. Paying interest on a depreciating asset is straight up burning money for no reason. If you want a nice new car wait until your finances can support that kind of decision because the second you drive it off the lot it will never be worth what you paid for it again.

I’m the original owner of a 2000 Civic Si EM1, and it’s been my daily driver ever since. I have 326,000 miles on it, and I have maintained on my own…it’s never been to a repair shop (I used to work as a technician for BMW/Mercedes/Porsche for 13 years). Anyway, if you buy a new car, maintain it properly, don’t lend it to anyone, and simply drive it for a lifetime. I have well over $100,000 in the bank just by avoiding trading in my car every 3 years.

This is a crazy sign because I was just looking for cheap cars to buy, in the same budget range too. What other cars would you recommend that are reliable?
