@@walverden1 I have volunteered in food banks here. I used to print up recipes for people when I knew what fresh seasonal produce and close-to-expired cheeses would be coming in. This time of year is great for tomatoes- and a tomato and cheese galette is easy. Pie crust is quick to make, so few ingredients. I have loads of recipes to make soup from anything.

Good evening Lily 🐕🦺🥰. Sweetie I do the same thing you do. The seafood department knows me by face. Let me know things are just going out of date and is getting marked down. As long as I freeze them when I get it it's fine. My store does not have different bags with different fruit in it markdown. I do get the bananas marked down cuz I love banana smoothies. I live in the city so there is no place to get roots and stuff and berries. I do go to the local farmers market they're much cheaper than the grocery store. Thanks for sharing sweetie 🤗🐕🦺💕💗💞👍👍👍👍

@@rosebissWildGooseNews there is a 20 acre blueberry farm near Tacoma. The owner gave it to the city with the stipulation that it would always be free to pick the fruit.
