@aena Hi Aena i'm about to move to the US so I may be able to answer. I say you choose a community for the benefits such as low cost but the visa will probably be denied(depending on your country) so try to find a good scholarship to a normal college don't take on too much debt. Consider the field you will choose vs the debt you will have. If the debt is unplayable don't do it unless you are very passionate or unless the field is like Medicine or Software Engineering(in short it has to be high pay if you take high debt). Canada is pretty great as well if you can get a good tuition cost then go for it you can always go to the US once you make it to Canada and acquire PR status. I hope that made sense but do more research and PR in Canada is getting harder.
@joelGi3 жыл бұрын
@aena If you are South Asian Canada shouldn't be hard to get a visa if you have good grades and have a plan you could afford the tuition.
@joelGi3 жыл бұрын
@aena I'm saying the pr is getting harder because a lot of people are asking for asylum and their cases are taking up the line. The country might toughen up but it's nowhere near as difficult as the US it can still be considered easy. Just keep good grades extracurricular and stay out of trouble.

I made a separate comment about this, but simply put Tesla has a small fraction of the same assets GM and Ford do, yet is valued at more than the two combined. Saying Tesla is undervalued is banking on a potential future that may never exist, and certainly does not exist at this time. It is not undervalued, it is massively overvalued, and people are investing on the assumption that someday the value will increase beyond what the current stock value is. It is all perception based investing driving the price up, and not based on assets or the company's profitability. As long as the market as a whole doesn't realize the nature of the risk it won't tank, but investing everything in Tesla because it is "undervalued" and assuming it will be profitable long term is, well, a YOLO investment strategy.
@codingorgaming9823 жыл бұрын
@@EcnalKcin Unfortunately the past few years have led me to understand that the stockmarket is driven by media and hype. If someone is a day trader, that's much more important than anything out there. It's crazy looking at something like TSLA, meanwhile, if you take a look at Intel (INTC) with a market cap of about $250 billion, yet it earns a revenue between $70-$80 billion annually. ps. She did good saving money for how much she was making, but she definitely got lucky with stocks. Hell, she mentioned buying a stock at $5.14 and then showed a graph of it at $212.09. @MacySavannah3 жыл бұрын
I agree. Thank you! I'm really excited to keep increasing the value of my time
@UlexiteTVStoneLexite3 жыл бұрын
That's just not true. The vast majority of your retail jobs are just around minimum wage if not at minimum wage. these jobs are not for kids because if they were then these businesses would not be open during the hours that kids were in school. You have so many people that rely on retail jobs because they don't have the education to go and get a different job. on top of that these people that do these retail jobs do so much work. even the management positions for these retail jobs are not even paying much above minimum wage and the management jobs definitely are not going to kids. This whole idea that minimum wage jobs are for kids is a total lie because these retail jobs are necessary positions and yet they're still paid the lowest amount of money. Everyone has to buy their goods from a retail store but these people working at these stores are paid usually minimum wage. if you want to go shopping at a store and be able to buy your goods then the people that are operating that store for you should get a fair and decent wage and they don't. right now they're essential workers and yet they're still getting paid minimum wage. These jobs shouldn't be paying minimum wage because they are not just for kids. and who says it's fair to pay a kid minimum wage anyways? if the kid is busting their butt and is doing everything that the manager is asking them to do then they should get paid more money because they clearly are more valuable than another employee that doesn't do the same. You shouldn't have your district manager begging someone to do more work for them and not paying them more money. clearly that person is not worth minimum wage if the district manager is begging them to do more work for them to help them out. clearly that person is far more valuable than minimum wage yet why are they still getting minimum wage??? Oh they get a dollar over minimum wage while the district manager is literally begging them to help them because they have a skill set that is valuable to the company but apparently it's not valuable enough to get paid more than a dollar above minimum wage. No one deserves to be paid minimum wage that is a valuable employee to the company. company should actually pay their employees what they're worth instead of taking advantage of the fact that they don't have to pay them more. If you want reliable people to work in a retail store that will be helpful to customers then you need to actually pay them something. those employees are only making minimum wage? no one should ever be demanding customer service from an employee that is only given minimum payment. If they're only given the the lowest value possible then why would you expect more from them? And yet this is what happens all the time because businesses don't want to pay their employees more if they're not forced to.
@UlexiteTVStoneLexite3 жыл бұрын
not only that how do you expect these people that are working minimum wage jobs to be able to go get and get an education so that they can possibly make more money?? you're already being paid the bare minimum and education prices are through the roof. to get themselves out of that situation??? this is how you get so many people that are stuck in having to take a job like this. This is how it works by design. So you're making money that doesn't even get you to the level that you can actually get ahead and yet you're expected to go get an education on not enough money to possibly get ahead. no these businesses need to actually pay their employees what they're worth and they're not worth minimum wage they're worth more than minimum wage if they're a good employee.

Regrets: Shopping so much shopping, drinking as a teenager (legal drinking age in Switzerland is 16); worth it: 6 months in the US to learn english, 1 year of traveling the world right now. I started working at age 15 as many people in my country do - tradeschool as people in the US call it is very common. I went to university after (always working) and managed to go from 49k to 120k (after tradeschool to now). I wish I‘d saved and invested more in my teens and early twenties. So I‘m making it my mission to teach my students exactly that (I teach tradeschool) - it‘s not on the curriculum but I don‘t care I think it‘s important and wish my teachers did the same.

Hopeful for the future and I need a degree for this field so I don’t regret the debt very much. Definitely love learning from other people my age who are doing so well!

Inspiring. I wish I had this type of info when I was a young adult. I'm almost at retirement age and starting all over again after having lost pretty much everything and rebuilding a life. The only difference is I can't work the long hours anymore. I'm working full time in Vegas (not making that much) and trying to live as frugally as possible so I can save and invest.

I'm 19, I worked for around 15 months at amazon and now about a month ago I've quit and decided to live off my investments as I find joy for finding and researching good investment opportunities. I always talk about how college right now is not a good investment since its overpriced and oversaturated and overly pushed on by highschool teachers.

Made me cry with sadness for the both of us, and happiness for the both of us. 24 years old now and still hustling, but finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel and planning to invest in my first real estate prop by summer of 2021. Love this video, found you through Graham months ago. Such a great story, realistic, relatable, but still authentically you. Cheers from PA😭♥️

@@israelmondragon6195 How do you start these buissneses? Just hire 2 or 3 landscapers, buy 3 cars and equipment , put an add in the newspaper/ internet and get work for them? How does it work with the vending machines? You go to different shops and buissneses, ask the owner if he wants a vending machine on his property? This seems to require so much capital , buying the vening machine for 3k, then asking the owner, paying somebody to transport it, then change and buy new food every few months ...

kudos to you for saving 100k, I just wish it wasn't seen as this abnormal thing. There's no reason everyone shouldn't have a 100k net worth by 22 if they live with their parents and don't go to university full time and obtain that degree. That is literally the trade-off between going to university or not, if not you can start working earlier and have money like 100k by 22 or take the degree path and have like 0 by 22 in the hopes that the degree increases your annual income and net worth by a lot in the long term.

I'm not gonna lie I'm jealous. not over so much the money, but that age at which you did it. April 1st 2019 I was 32yo 10k in debt and I didn't have a working car. I set a goal to have 100k in assets by Jan 1st 2022. on the 6th of Jan 2021 i passed 100k and I'm now at about 130k. can you make sure Graham sees this. I used to post in his vids about my progress but as his channel blew up it kind of makes it hard to post something like that.
