It’s so encouraging to finally see someone talking about a normal salary and still was able to do what you’re doing. Thank you.

It's a waste for me because I'm craving something else and leftovers go bad. So I just eat what makes me happy now. I don't have a simple palette. If not, I just will skip meals rather than eating something I don't like.

How did you coordinate your travel with your house sitting jobs? Did they cover any of your travel or is that another factor to consider?

The way people talk about how much they love Wawa is so weird 😂. They just opened up in my city and you would think Wawa is paying people's bills the way people talk about the place lol.

Did you have a 401K through your job? How did that factor into your savings? Do you still contribute to a retirement plan now?
@StephaniePerry3 жыл бұрын
Yes I had a 403b that was rolled into an IRA when I left. I still contribute. The didn't factor into my savings amount.

Would you say that in 2021, $14000 is enough to travel for a year in SEA?

If you're ok with staying in dorm rooms in hostels, yes. Or if you're going to a few cities for a long time instead of lots of cities for a few days each. If not, I'd add another $10 per day now. Or add in some work exchanges / house sitting to get free accommodation part of the time.
