I’ve watched a few older videos like this one and they are so helpful and inspiring to all women. Stephanie is fearless and helps me to feel like I can do the same.

I taught English through Cambly online and was able to pull in about $300-$400 every week. I’ve learned that your biggest expense is going to be crossing over the Atlantic. Once you take care of your plane ticket, you can find very budget friendly accommodations all over the world. Back in 2016, I left for India and stayed for 4 months. I earned pocket change by writing blog articles and that’s was enough for me to buy food and budge friendly housing. I was dead broke when I got back home, but it was an incredible experience

Remind people who chose to work under the table, your at the mercy of your employer. Here in Thailand you can be banned from the country for 10 years if caught. Choose your country wisely....

I used VRBO one summer for a month in a beautiful home in Florida with swimming pool in a lanai, on a canal with boat dock and bay breezes. I paid $1,000 for 30 days including all utilities. It was so relaxing. The weather was better there, much better then Washington DC. The owners were so nice and accommodating. I stayed by myself but could have invited a friend or two had I wanted for the same price. I had to leave 3 days early because my mom died unexpectedly. I tried to follow the check out procedures but finally called and explained, they said don’t worry and my deposit was returned in full within a week. I mentioned about my mom only as an example that plans need to be flexible so vacation insurance is good if you can afford it. I drove, but had I been flying I could have been stuck.

Love this, Stephanie! I'm going to pass this along. For me, teaching abroad was a great option as well as caregiving as I did that in Miami Beach living on Hibiscus island for 5 months with full room and board and a very nice salary. I'm going to sign up for Rover, VIP kid and other tutor sites. I'm already on Trusted Housesitters. And, as you said, volunteering is also a great way to save on accommodations. I'm sign up with #helpstay. Great ideas!! This is what I've tried to pass onto friends who have grown children now. Travel the world without going through your retirement!! Thanks, Steph!!👍🏽✈🌏🌏

Thank you Cheryl! 💗 Did you have experience before you started teaching or caregiving? I think a lot of people would love to hear about how you got started. And THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing the video. #issamovement

@@StephaniePerry no experience teaching at all. Now, that I'm back in the US for a bit, I must update my blog and talk about my experiences for the past year! In Thailand, a Bachelor's degree in any discipline is required and a TEFL helps, but not necessary with the degree. I taught 3 subjects and 6 classes, English Fundamentals, Reading and Writing, Geography for 7th and 8th grade. Amazing live abroad experience! (I'm having convulsions over the cost of living differences since returning 🤯...You get 30 Baht for each US dollar!! You know, SE Asia is quite affordable! No experience in caregiving the 1st time either and now, I've had 4 clients..great references! Travel is definitely attainable and one has so many options to generate income while doing so!!☺️☺️✈🌏
