I have been loving these cat sketching videos. And now especially as I was caring for my ill 19 year old cat, Claude. He just passed 3 days ago on January 31, 2024. Now I am so heartbroken and lonely, but am so desiring to practice and eventually do a decent portrait of him. I really love your work. Watching the process really helps. So authentic.

I really enjoy watching your process especially when you erase and correct. I feel addicted to my eraser. I have been trying to go directly to ink in my urban sketches and my line and wash sketches but I still like to start with pencil lines as a base. That is one big reason I so enjoy your videos! Thank you !

Oh and how do you make a water 💧 fall in the distance and if you color what colors do you use when there is a splash and then color bluse as the water is coming to you and what do you do for fish ? Mine look like squiggly lines.? Thank you.

I find it easier if I block in the mass of the muzzle first, right onto the mass of the face. I find it gives more of 3d face and it is then easier to place eyes etc. ^^ I watched your tree video this morning, that is very diffucult for me still whereas animal is easy cause I trained this way more ^^

Aaaaaggghhhh! I almost spit my coffee. This is exactly what I do every time with cats, except the head is too big. I think its because my cats faces all look human to me and I can't figure out why, so I keep focusing on them and the heads just sort of grow with overworking. So funny . . . But some cats do look human. Maine Coons all look like Ron Perlman, even the babies.🐱
