You said 30-40 depending on how you ride, that is the range in sport mode for sure. You can reach 50-60 miles of range or close to if kept in Eco mode and not mashing throttle. Remember, weight, surface being rode on, hills incline/decline, ect... All make an overall impact on the range as well.

I recently found out that apparently the bike not going when the throttle is pushed when/right after the bike gets started up is a safety feature so the bike doesn't take of on you accidentally.

I don’t understand your position on SurRon battery draining going up hill… it’s a mid drive motor, and compared to literally ANY ebike with a hub motor, it will always handle hills better and more efficiently.

@@RandallCory yes, but you said it was a “con” for the SurRon… my point is, it may be true that the battery drains faster going up hills rather than flat ground, but that’s how all ebikes and even gas bikes work, yet the SurRon actually does it *best* which is worth noting. It’s less of a “con” for the SurRon over EVERY OTHER BIKE. Which means if you’re looking for an ebike that handles hills well, the SurRon would be the bike to get.

My sur ron loves going up hills, even with my stock battery. I'm not sure why you're having such a negative experience with hills. Also I have a 60v 70 ah battery that gets ungodly range

If yes perhaps a night time ride to SEE what the lighting is about, if No perhaps a night time ride with your opinions/ you also mentioned hills and snow. If I were to guess , looks like a Tahoe type area, altitude and temperature could Zap and sag your power. Also you say hills where the flat lander sea level rider will out perform in Range. Thanks so much., I'm going in stock only and in a year or two, the upgrades will double the cost. I'm also waiting for the 2023/24 model, so perhaps the 2022 will drop below the 4k threshold/ Are you affiliated and do you have a discount code?

If you drive up hill than you go down hill so no power is needed and even recuperating. It should be the same as driving flat. Unless your route is only uphill and never goes downhill afterward which is rare.
