Great you're back. And we definitely would like to hear the complete song. Also looking forward to your next album on Bandcamp. Can't wait for it. And you know what? With no former skills in playing any instruments, at the age of 60, inspired by you, I got myself a Roland Fantom 06, subscribed to an online keyboard course, and created two decent recreations of Moroder's"I feel love" and The Ventures' "A Go Go Dancer". Thanks for lighting the fire in me! 🤩 Please show us more how you work and how you recreate all these 70s/80s sounds so faithfully! Would love to learn some of that. 🙏🏻

@mik300z That's right, but instrumental versions always have their own unique charm, and your interpretation of this classic is truly a pleasure to listen to. Great to have you back, Michael 🎶

Awesome workflow. I have something like this but I work in the BOX (Computer /DAW). All my synths are now VSTi. Fortunately a dear friend programmed to me a specific 16 tracks VST MIDI trigger controller (plugin) that can be duplicated as many times I wish and I can use it to trigger any track / Instrument /VSTi /Sequencer by mapping that plugin to any MIDI hardware controller by using "notes" or "CC". The hardware I use to do that is the pad bank built in my Akai MPK88 and a Behringer MIDI Foot Controller FCB1010. This gives me full control (in real time) of any number of VSTi synth tracks needed for any specific music, and then, I can "turn on" and "off", at anytime, any synth during real time playing /composing. Basically it results into something like the most recent set-up used by Vangelis. Thanks for sharing your method. It is inspiring and practical. Stay safe.

@@BenMartinBox wow, thought I was complicated 😄 go you...
@BenMartinBox3 ай бұрын
@@mik300z Indeed, but the explanation makes it sound more complex than it is in reality. In fact the system is very simple to operate but it does require a lot of preparation before play. All instruments and sequences need to be set-up before final execution (for complex arrangements) but it is much simpler to operate when the music is layered instruments driven. Stay safe my friend and keep composing such fantastic music. Like the master once said: "...music is the language of the Universe...(Vangelis)".

Hey, dude, I've been listening to your Vangelis tracks for ever now, glad you're back. How did you create the Moog Little fatty sound, please make a video...
@mik300z2 ай бұрын
Hey, thankyou! I used the deepmind 12 with a few sawtooths stacked in unison, and did not try and detune them, the opposite actually- Pretty simple, I have the track finished now with the vocal and as soon as a video is finished I will upload good sir 😊

I bet the esq1 does a better midi clock than DAW. Sadly, I sold my sq80 to invest a ptophet10
@mik300z3 ай бұрын
@@ingoodmusic Hi! It is interesting to see how the gear responds when you press play on the ESQ, sometimes happy accidents happen❤ And then sometimes a midi glitch comes and notes on several keyboards stick if you don't take time to switch between them slowly. So order and chaos...I prefer the chaos😍
