Yes. Def mechanical release systems. I use a key now. I disabled the print reader as it bugged out and was allowing any finger touch to release. I'm really liking that quick release, rifle locker. Good video. Ty

It's short range, "this side toward enemy", type of activity not a precision need. A laser dot is a dramatic deterrent though.

@@rshinn8776it’s not irresponsible. I don’t keep my carry gun in a safe. It’s always on my body or right beside me. If someone breaks in, you might not be able to get to your safe. That would be a pretty useless home defense gun.

@@rshinn8776 same difference. A home defense firearm can be any firearm, including your carry gun. Your home defense gun is useless if you can’t get to it. So it is usually best to keep it on you or nearby. If you have kids in the home, keeping it on you is usually best.

I have no problem with electronics, however I have no kids in the house and can leave a gun out at night or leave the door of the safe closest to me ajar and not fully closed. Your _Gunvault_ probably died due to bad batteries or remote power supply. They need periodic maintenance. Also you can open easily with the backup key. Decent product.

Normally love the products in your videos, but…. The web site for this rifle is 95% fluff and 5% specs. After finally getting to the specs, the rifle is nearly the same price as a BCM or even Daniel Defense, but does not even have a Cold Hammer Forged barrel. Hard pass.

​@@eochaidhoghachruithneI have great respect for Jason's career but he does do a lot of the take a look at this stuff that I recommend and it's just references to books or someone else's and the one thing that I do question him on when people ask about buying online ammo or other things he keeps recommending cheaper than dirt which I used 15 years ago before finding other places and realizing their name should be lower than dirt because they are the first ones to double or triple their prices anytime there's any tragedy or major issue in the country.
