About Windows 10, I did some research and I personally think people are just paranoid about Windows 10's "telemetry" data because shit like that (diagnostic and really basic usage data) has been on operating systems for years with most people keeping it on. The ones that turn it off are either pirates or people in enterprises (which is why you *CAN* turn it off in the Enterprise version, a correction to 7:00). For updates, web browsers have been using auto updates for years (which is kept on by most people) and a lot of malware targets Windows Update to prevent the update of the MSRT which will allow you to remove it. Finally, by turning off Cortana and automatic web searching from Bing on the search bar, nothing gets sent. That's what I got from my research.

rogueamp did you knew the now dead PcTools ThreatFire behaivior antivirus thinghy? I'm asking because I remember it was superb and some days ago I set up a VM with Win7 and installed it just to test how kind time has been to it. Then installed a lot of usual software (adobe reader, libreoffice, ultraiso, firefox, and much more) and got no false positives at all. Then tried some ransomware including cryptowall 3.0, cryptolocker and others, and the thing blocked them all! Remember this is a piece of software last updated and discontinued during 2011, and these ransomwares would infect machines with decent antiviruses like avast or kaspersky until they updated the definitions manually when those came out. That was top notch behavior based protection against 0day threats man. On something completely different, about VMs, you can get a whole usb hub inside the VM and connect things like mouse and keyboard and usb wifi and put the sucker on a second monitor as borderless windowed fullscreen. Even when you use the host on the main monitor, the input will still register as its from input hardware the VM has direct access to. The usb wifi allows you to get direct native access to your network. I can't count how many times this saved my ass on lan parties to play oldies or classic games.

one way to get a iso image is by going to the Microsoft official website and go to software downloads and right click and go into inspect then you about that picture of the phone and tablet in the top left corner click it then refresh the page then you can exit out of inspect it will say that you can't upgrade or use the media tool then it give you a download button the may or October update then click the one you want then pick the the language you want after that it will give you a limited time only link for the 32 bit version or the 64 bit version of what you chose. or if you want some other operating system you should go to winworld then press I feeling lucky in the search bar to get right site then click the os you want (warning if you have a unfiltered internet connection you may get viruses)

Never EVER use NAT when using software or websites that may cause damage to an OS. The host OS gives the guest OS the ability to connect to the internet. Connecting to a malicious website in the guest OS is the same thing as doing it to the host. Always bridge the connection, never use NAT. I've done this before and my antivirus was able to stop my computer from connecting the host and the guest from the website. However, when I bridged the connection, nothing happened to the host, but the guest did get infected.

wait... if your antivirus was able to stop both your host, and guest from accessing the bad website, but when you bridged the connection, the host was fine, but the guest got infected... then it sounds like NAT did a better job than bridging... with NAT, both machines were saved. when you bridged, the guest got infected... you're not making sense
