Great video and great boat. I have 1999 185 CC. It’s still running strong! Edgewater has made some great improvements especially with storage. What shaft length Minn Kota trolling motor do you have on your boat?

You can custom order cushions for the front kill tank which makes it a comfortable seat but this is a fishing boat, not a cruiser.

Awesome rig, do you have an electric winch on the trailer or do you drive it up onto the trailer by yourself?

I drive it on all the way to the clip, lean over the front and crank the winch handle a couple of times to secure, then drive it out of the water.

May I know why choose edgewater 188cc? It is the unpopular boat in noosa. Most boat is half cabin or center cabin .

I think you'll find that this style of boat is fast overtaking the cabin style boat in QLD. It allows 360 degree fishing and is way more versatile for tropical sportsfishing. Cabin boats are more for cold climates.

Love your videos - just signed up for Exploring Noosa yesterday and look forward to watching more. With all your experience now, if you were to get another Edgewater would you go for the 188cc or 208cc? Do you find the 80 lb thrust on the Minn Kota enough for your needs?

Hi Dave. Thanks for the feedback. I would stick with the 188cc. It does everything I need and I don't require more space or weight or a higher fuel bill. The love the layout of the 188cc and it's easy to manage as a Solo Angler. The 208cc is great if you want to fish with 4 people but I very rarely fish with more than two. The 80lb thrust is perfect as long as it's serviced regularly.
