Tim, what about the tac giveaway? You guys could do a video on the true economics of archery shooting. It’s a part two of the costs. Consider things like depreciation, regular maintenance costs, resell value, etc.

I like it, my only comment is the auto focus when holding the hinge at the beginning of the video. What sony camera are you using along with lens? Maybe shoot wider with a closer Foucal range then crop in 4K?

I shot the aluminum one for a while, and pulled the trigger on brass during the black friday sale as well. Gotta say, I definitely prefer the heft of brass. Saw your first video on dedicating the year to using the hinge and decided this was something I wanted to do as well. Been shooting it none stop, and have become much more accurate and consistent as a shooter with it vs thumb buttons. My personal setup is hinge with 3 finger hunting bracket, no click and white hot, keeps me super honest with my shot process. Looking forward to the next one Tim

I had to sell my aluminum one because i was just so used to the extra weight and solid feel of my other carter releases lol
@Nic-with-the-Beard3 жыл бұрын
@@Orr_s That was part of my reasoning as well. Previously, I shot a Nock 2it and I like the heft these releases have. The UV Hinge in aluminum felt like feathers in comparison

@@Nic-with-the-Beard haha samee i have a nock2it and silverback, love the nock2it and it fits my hand so well and i really like how its not a true 3 finger
@Nic-with-the-Beard3 жыл бұрын
@@Orr_s Funny enough, I used to have a Silverback but I just couldn't get the weight setting on it perfect. I also found out my Nock2it has a bur on the hook which helped in prompting me to switch to the UV
@Orr_s3 жыл бұрын
@@Nic-with-the-Beard ahh that sucks, yeah ive had mine 4 seasons now, i have an rx-1 at 75lbs and i use the silverback to keep me honest and the nock2it always for everything. Im looking into diff hinges now too tho but i want similar hook placement. I have both older models i guess the newer models are better for adjustments and smoother even now

I picked up a Hinge on black Friday and played around with it briefly while finishing up my hunting season. The past month I have been using it full time and have made strides and bounds in consistency and comfort. I will say, when I heard Levi Morgan (I think) say that he uses the click as a starting point to start his shot sequence, that helped me tremendously. So now I try to hit click once I get anchored and then start my shot process. I also settled on a .16 click.

What did you end up thinking of the iron will and ethics components after a year?
@TimConnor133 жыл бұрын
I ran iron will mainly because of the lighter options.. they were great and definitely strengthened the front of the arrow. I shot through the length of a deer with awesome results. But it’s only one animal. I don’t think there’s a bad choice just the ethics are heavy.. I’d rather save the weight for the Broadhead. - TC
