Pretty good video, i,m all about keeping a sharp knife. The cardboard is a new one for me,makes since, my dad always had the ability to sharpen things scarry sharp, even a hatchet or axe. I always thought it was all about the angle, my dad would use emery cloth and finish with crokis cloth. Thanks for the lesson i will try some of it.

I have that machete! It's my favorite! No nicking it when you chop a limb! Another great one brother!

Unless someone wants to be a purist, no problem with using some technology to sharpen stuff. I have even sharpened a broadhead I pulled out of the dirt with a flat sandstone rock from a creek. It wasn't razor sharp, but it was still an improvement. Carbon blades are so much easier to get sharp compared to stainless. I have "cheated" sharpening a stainless blade, lightly buffing the edge, holding a handheld grinder upside down against the top of a work bench. Requires a very light touch, without stopping, across the outside rounded edge of the grinder disc wheel. Then stropped the coarse bur back and forth to refine it. If you have a light source close to the grinder, you can actually watch the bur form instantly.

Cardboard, great cost efficient idea!

I like it better than leather and no maintenance or resurfacing or cleaning like leather.

would you ever hunt with a simple compound bow?

Since when is a compound bow simple? 🤔
@SamkoTradBow9 ай бұрын
I would if I had to. Like an injury that made it too hard to use my longbow

😂😂 figured you'd cringe a bit as I did that.

You made me cringe when you were pulling that kukri into your hand while using that ceramic rod; please be careful! It'll be a lot easier to shoot your bow with all digits intact. Otherwise, thank you for the video; some great tips and tricks there.
