In this video I take you behind the scenes on an off camera flash portrait shoot at sunrise at Vestahorn in Iceland!
We started this shoot at 5.30am in almost complete darkness so off camera flash was essential. I mainly used one light to create dramatic portraits.
All the photographs in this video were taken on my Sony A9 with Sony 35mm f1.8, Sony 85mm f1.8, Tamron 17-28mm 2.8 and Sigma 135mm f1.8 lenses.
I also used a Godox AD200 off camera speed light with the Godox XT2 transmitter, together with the MagMod MagSphere.

Newbie here! Why 1/2000? Do you use auto ISO?

Hi Sherrie! The fast shutter speed was to underexpose the ambient light to make the shot look dramatic. And no, I don't use auto ISO personally as I prefer to be in control of everything myself. Nothing wrong if you do wish to use it though, it is a cool feature!
