Beautiful work! Why in minute 5:41 when you take the photo, appears as if it were already edited?

I understand that everyone has their own workshop, but it could have been done with the same set but with boom. This solves the problem in terms of lighting and the complementary light would be from the window or the second option - put the lamp through the window outside since - I'm guessing there was such a possibility - if not, my comment is unnecessary. What a beautiful place, model and bravo.

Found one tip to shoot composite without tripod if you have assistance. Use single point (instead of EYE AF or traking) mode AF locate the point on face. Make shot, remember composition and just on second shot locate af point again on face. Also recommended to use evf and stay in evf between the shots while assistant is moving light away. I think main is to don't change the height of camera

This is another great video, thanks for putting it together. How do you set your WB on a shoot like this? Is it set for the ambient light, or for the flash?

Beautiful photos and I love the way you teach. Just want to add in that I think now days you can do it without a tripod and just Photoshop AI to remove the flash Keep the vids coming!

Thank you very much! Yes you are correct and I often do that, also my latest video is about the new generative AI feature in Lightroom. I do find however that it still isn't perfect so if I have the time I still prefer to take two exposures and use a tripod - but AI is getting very very good!

In this particular shoot why you dont use mag sphere instead of this learg soft box ?? This will much easier to shoot and you can easly hide it behind this wall as well

If I did that the light source would be a) smaller and b) further away, meaning that the light quality wouldn't be as good

Are you kidding me? you have unrealistically expensive equipment, a beautiful room full of light, and you complicate everything! For me, this approach is simply not acceptable. There is an expression: "to wear underpants over your head." That's exactly what you're doing!

😂 I'm guessing you're not a fan of this shoot 😂 you do realise (I know you do as you have been subscribed to me for over 3 years) that my channel is about demonstrating techniques so that others can learn. If everything I did was natural light it wouldn't be very interesting...

? Pretty much industry standard camera equipment for a wedding. Nothing complicated here. Neil is an amazing photographer and having worked along side him, know that he (and others) can achieve images like this is many situations, even in “normal” settings of a typical wedding. How is this approach “not acceptable”?, it’s not out of the realms of a wedding.

I'm not sure why you think Neil's equipment is expensive? The vast majority of full time professional wedding photographers have this kind of set-up. The only difference being different manufacturers. I have learnt so much from Neil and find him to be very knowledgeable and personable. In fact he's a very positive yet humble guy. Maybe he should do a youtube lesson to teach you how to be the same? 🤔

He's going 1000 words a minute and not saying anything. And maybe it's just me, but his accent just makes it hard to follow / listen to him for any long duration of time.
