You have the best dental hygiene of any cyclist on the planet! I would say that in 48 hours you saved anywhere from 8 minutes, if you brush twice a day, but you seem like a three times a day kind a guy, so I would say 12 minutes.

I did a very similar trip in 2018! Started in Copenhagen, bike-toured and camped my way up to Gothenburg, across the Stenaline back into Denmark and down to Aarhus. I was getting bored of riding solo at that point and took the train back to Copenhagen a day early. I used Komoot but I didn't have any sort of GPS head unit so I tried using audio cues, which sucked. And i was getting annoyed with all the detours onto weird townie bike paths, so I quit it and just took main roads, which also kinda sucked but got me where I was going faster. Your route looked way more fun! Similarly I got a tattoo on my trip, except at the beginning, from Jonas at Crooked Moon in Malmo! I don't necessarily recommend getting a tattoo before 4 days of bike touring, but it was a right place right time kinda thing.

The integrated cables being an impediment to breaking down a bike for travel was interesting and honestly something I wouldn’t have even thought about! Got my money’s worth for this week! 😂 Also, been using and really liking Komoot since the episode you did on it, so that week was worth it too!!!

It’s funny you should mention it. I had no clue how frustrating internal cable routing is. It also makes it really difficult to swap bars basic things become monumental tasks now that this new trend of shoving all the cables inside the bikes are becoming more and more prevalent.

I encountered the same problem with internally routed cable while packing my bike before flying with it for the first time. I packed two days before the trip. I know, dumb move. A quick trip to my LBS scored a cardboard bike box, which did the trick for me. Internally routed cables look great and minimize snagging, but they are a maintenance and travel nightmare. Now, to find a shipping case for my bike that doesn't require removing the bars or fork.

Some local knowledge: At 2:30 you noticed how you tucked away from the main road into this side thing by the tracks. The road cycling community is not a fan of this side road, how narrow it is, the steep up and down crossings, etc... It really kills pace. So most just... keep going on the main road, which is much more scenic, but now sharing the space with cars. So if you happened to wonder why you didn't cross a soul on that particular stretch, that'll be why :D
