Those spiders are called Dewdrop spiders. They are from the genus Argyrodes and often inhabit bigger spiders webs. They eat the smaller insects that the big spider doesn't, or sometimes even feed from the big spider's prey. EDIT: It turns out you discovered this yourself later in the video. The grasshopper appears to be from the genus Acrida. They appear to also be called long nosed grasshoppers. The wasp was a Black and Yellow Mud Dauber, Sceliphron caementarium. They make mud tubes and stick many small paralyzed spiders inside for their larvae to eat.

I once had a jar of waxmoths for fishing standing open. A wasp came. Started murdering all of them 😂 She bit them in pieces and flew off with them. I think she took 3 with her in pieces. And damaged 4 or 5 more. Amazing creatures. Also one time we cam back from vacation to find a cat had taken a fish from our pond. There was still pieces of fish scattered. Wasps were eating them and carrying pieces away. Again amazing creatures. We once were eating icecream at an icesalloon. Lots of wasps buzzing about. One had a fancy on the icecream my boyfriend was eating. So he decided to take a scoop and put it next to him at the table. There we were sitting eating icecream with wasps peacefully 😅 If only people would look beyond their nasty sting and flying up into their faces and see the worth of these crazy little buzzers. I don't like them flying in my face either. But I know that when you share what you have they want they are quite peaceful for a murdermachine 😍😂

Random PSA: If anyone is wondering where to get the syringes he uses to add water (the ones with the large gauge needles), you can buy them at Tractor Supply if you live in the US. They sell them in the veterinary supplies section, they are actually designed for administering injections to larger livestock like horses and cows. They are incredibly cheap, less than a dollar for the syringe, and a couple of dollars for a pack of 5 needles. And they sell different gauges of needles, as well as different sizes of syringes.

Fun facts about the cicadas, there are around 3000 species of them. One species take 17 YEARS to mature. They spend their time underground feeding on plant juices from their roots. And when it is time to emerge they do so around the beginning of summer. They will continue to sing till around the end of September or the beginning of fall. Depending on where you are. The ones that I hear outside right now are called the Dog Days Cicada. They emerge every year. They spend all that time underground, just to come out, make their songs, and make more for the next time. They are pretty neat.

I found one in a gas station near Washington DC. It was so perfect I thought at first it was a kid's toy. Only the position of the legs gave it away as being a dead bug. I wasn't even too sure what it was. We don't have them where I live. I carefully wrapped my treasure and fetched it home. Some 1000s of miles and days later I was watching a US TV show and heard *that* song and realised what my precious keepsake is.

Hey there, I have a question I'm not a insect/arachnid enthusiast, but I've always known as a fact that insects had a bigger size millions of years ago because there was twice the amount of oxygen. My question is: what if you recreate an atmosphere in a terrarium, supplying it with huge levels of oxygen and raise a tarantula since a spiderling. Will it reach abnormal sizes? I'm very curious if it has been done before.

Argyrodes, also called dewdrop spiders, is a genus of comb-footed spiders that was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1864. They occur worldwide, and are best known for their kleptoparasitism. They can spin their own webs, but tend to invade and reside in their hosts' webs.

Right after this video I watched a video about the most amazing spiders. There was a spider on there that looked exactly like the one you caught. They call it a mirrored spider. I forget the technical name but I'm sure you can look it up. That's crazy. Two times in one day I learn about a mirrored spider. Pretty cool. I I watched another video and they showed a little tiny cute jumping spider that made its bed in a little twisted Leaf just like the one you tried to get the little spider out of. It was too coincidental and identical to be 2 different species of spiders. That little spider that wouldn't come out for you was probably a tiny jumping spider. It is so cute how he rolls a leaf up and it sticks together and makes him a perfect little burrito sleeping bag
