Great tips Deya! I think the only way we differ is that when I started, I had very few savings and not much of a plan. Thankfully, demand outstripped supply and I was able to keep the lights on, BUT, the work itself wasn't very enjoyable. That's why your first step - knowing what you want - is so crucial.

Thank you, Matt. Glad to hear that it all worked out! Yes, figuring out what is important to you is a first step not to be looked over.

My first step is watching these videos and creating my ikigai diagram to get clear on my vision.

Thank you so much for making this channel. All the tips that you have provided on this channel are so helpful. I was at the same burst point where I thought it was riskier for me not to find an alternative other than the traditional 9 to 5. I am still at the prepping stage of starting my freelancing business and it's crucial to kick aside perfectionism and just take the first step. Love the quote!

Hi Deya! your video is very insightful. I recently got an offer for a freelance remote job but they have a fix time. do you think it is worth it to work fulltime 9-5 in daytime and freelancing in night time? I just thinking like how many people have been doing this (and they are fine) or should i quit my fulltime job. (the salary for freelancing is higher than my current fulltime job😅) thanks
