@@annauncharted The Four Agreements. First: “Be impeccable with your word”: Impeccable = Without Sin, Say only what you mean. Second: “Don’t take anything personally”: Understand that other’s words are the product of their domesticated lives. Third: “Don’t make assumptions”: Be brave to ask questions. Four: “Always do your best”: Your best will change from moment to moment.

The juxtaposition of you just “livin’ and vibin’” at the end of the video and the constant barrage of insects in the bloops seconds later made my day lol. I guess they call Florida “The Swamp” for a reason.

🎉❤ FIRST 🎉 from Santa Barbara CA 😊 Edit after viewing the video: Who needs Netflix when we have AnnaUncharted? 👍 Video editing superb 👍 👍 Storyline 👍 ❤ Heart to Hearts 💖 🎉 I smiled biggly through out the video 😊🎧 Thanks Annauncharted. It's a super sweet sharing from Florida to Georgia. You are doing great and you will travel far. it's only 3 bucks for that pretty amazing yellow top (???) 😮 waaah. You looked amazing in yellow especially with long beautiful hairs. See you in the next video 🎉 💃🌺🚛 p.s. I see myself as a gypsy for being uprooted from my birth country (not by choice but by war), I am still sensitive in "fitting in". It's very nice that you brought this issue up so gently here. Bravo 👋

Yes, being accepted is something we all want. But we won’t all be accepted by everyone. Even being as kind and caring as you can be, there will be those who don’t accept you for who you are. Just keep being yourself. Yep, it’s their problem, not yours. You are learning so many valuable things way before I did. I didn’t learn to just say “Screw it. I’m just going to be who I am, and not worry what others think of this”, until much later in life.

It gets easier to stop caring what other people think about you, once you accept that most people really don’t think about you all that much anyway.

You are a free spirit, pleasing yourself where you travel in your van, loving books and the literary arts. My twin sis and I were adopted, too. What matters is where you enjoy going, being happy in yourself and those you meet along the way. It was a lot different for me. I have an MBChb degree and was a medical officer in the Royal Navy. But you, you should enjoy whatever. I think you are amazing, hugely lovable, trustworthy and educated. Stay safe vanlifing. *Hugs* ~Wendi

@@annauncharted Alas we have Covid, not feeling great. ...we've two hobbies: Blacksmithing (forging gold prospecting tools) and sniping/crevicing in our gold-rich river in Cornwall where we have an old farmhouse. I'm "non-dom" nowadays, long since departed Monaco cuz we can't stand tourists, and the horrific expense of living there (presently 55K per sq metre!) Originally I was aboard a Type 45, Daring-class destroyer where they nicknamed me 'The Blonde Bombshell' ! 🤣 Single now, no longer dating since my ex hit Molly, my daughter awarded her 2 black eyes; she now resembles a panda! 🤣 🤣 🤣

I realized I no longer cared what strangers thought of me when I was in my mid 50’s, sitting at a bar and I halfway noticed a couple of young girls looking at me and whispering between themselves and the bartender. The bartender finally came over and said the girls were wondering why an old guy like me was still very muscular. I told the bartender to tell them that lifting weights was the only thing I had to do while I was locked up in prison. The girls won’t make eye contact with me after that. Anna, I want you to know that I’ve never been in jail, not that I care what you think of me. (Not) 😉

Hello Anna 👋. Great video and an important message. I agree with you: what other people think of us, is none of our business. This is what I always say. And most of the time they even don't care about us or what we are doing. We are not here to please everybody, not possible anyway. It's all in our imagination/mind. I realized it late, but thankfully not too late 😊. Thank you. Take care and stay safe 🙏

"We are not here to please everybody, no possible anyway" -truer words never spoken. I think I spent a good chunk of my years growing up thinking that this was possible and I’m glad to have figured out it’s wasted effort. We’re all on a path and it’s nice when others happen to be in step or cross yours for awhile but no one can expect that everyone is gonna walk the same way as you 😝 Thanks Anita 😊💛

When little, it is drilled into us that we make a good impression. As we progress into teen and 20s years, it is a stressor. By the late 30s, people are coming to the middle and end of child raising and they see light at the end of the 'what others think' tunnel. When you get to be my age, 62 (you know, about three days shy of the age of petrified wood), you no longer care. In fact, you sometimes look for opportunities to shock people. LOL

Bravo, Anna. Some people take a major part of life to learn to stop worrying about what other people think. During childhood we’re trying to please parents and teachers. Then during teen years, what peers think, and the resultant peer pressure take control. With luck and a bit of work we reach the point at which we realize, what we think about ourselves is more important than what others think about us.

I love your new shirt! And I totally understand being proud of thrifting something cool 😎 Doing stuff alone in public can take some getting used to. Although I no longer have reservations about eating alone in a restaurant during a trip or shopping day, or going to a movie, walking in the forest. Doing stuff alone can be so relaxing. Like museums, where you can just go at your own pace and listen to an audio guide. The first time I visited a museum by myself, was when I first started to really appreciate museums. The experience was so different from high school trips where I was going through the museum, but not paying close attention to every single thing. Possibly because this "wasn't cool". Although there are also things I like to share with others. But being single for a long time, I no longer want to wait for others so I can do stuff with someone else. But I think I've found a good balance between solo and social stuff. Kayaking can be so nice! And relaxing if you're alone, just drifting along. I have an inflatable kayak that I've also used to collect trash from a (sort of) lake. I got the idea from an organization that offers free kayak trips to tourists that agree to collect trash out of the water. I thought it was such a cool idea, I had to steal it😁

I have spent decades doing the activities I love the most alone, and enjoying my life. Often I wear headphones (with wires, so people see it and leave me alone), listening to music and being given space by other people. That is one technique I use (also, on planes). Or, I carry my camera (Canon EOS 80D) and people know that I am cool and not a threat. Being a dude and walking a trail alone produces fear in other people, especially women, who often don't look up and zoom past me. It's sad, but a reality, that so many people are afraid of others. A final thought...when I hike with other people, I find myself having to be a tour guide, answering questions and explaining the variety of wildlife we encounter. By myself, I live in my own thoughts and talk to myself, and maybe that's weird but I am enjoying my life. So, don't be afraid to be by yourself kayaking or hiking or watching a movie or eating lunch at a picnic table. As Anna said, "no one gives a crap" so just enjoy your moments. Fyi, I own a kayak and it is so much fun (as I live so much water, rivers, lakes, and the ocean).

1st- Growing up in a small town with anything "unusual" in your upbringing/lifestyle gives you a bit of that feeling of "everyone watching" for better or worse. For me it was losing my mom and later working toward a certification where there were VERY few women. As in I was the only one in any of my courses. Not the first, but always the only. 2nd- I LOVE kayaking! I just discovered that I can technically fit our kayak inside my Yukon. Not comfortably, but it DOES fit. (I also just got a bed in it! so I may just have to figure out how to get it on top a bit easier)

In Washington, I fit in, because there was a large asian population and it was easy for me to fit in. In the Midwest, I was different and on top of that I was an introvert, so making friends was even harder for me. To summarize, living in Idaho for 5 months I managed to make 12 good friends, but living in Wisconsin for 5 years, I managed to make 3 friends. Same open minded person, same chatty friendly demeanor, but its the location, location, location!!!! I find the peace and quiet of the midwest lovely, but I found the isolation to be frustrating.

I was an outsider too... grew up as a little girl...mixed girl....black girl with a very redheaded Irish mom in fort Laramie, Wyoming...I too felt out of place. Never seeing anyone like me or my siblings either. Then at 13 moved to Hayward California...right next to Oakland in the hood to be with my Dad. So yeah I get the feelings, been there and done that...I DEF don't care about what anyone says, thinks or anything of that matter. Those experiences build us into the folks we are. I am proud of who I am and everything I have been through. No testimony without the test. What a beautiful thing to be so exotic and different.

First of all your beautiful. The fact that your different makes you more unique. We touched on this a few videos ago. You gotta live your life for you. My daughter is about to be 18. She left my house in December to be back in another state with her boyfriend's family. I gave up trying to keep her here for my own sanity. I see her breaking her back trying to please everyone and sadly she looks miserably. It hurts me that I see her self sacrificing herself but she has to learn. My words are not sinking in. But I wish she would see the only person you need to make happy is you. I kind of went on a rant I'm sorry. Take time to pray when you feel stuck. Your never alone. See you on the next one!!! ❤

LOVED IT! THanks so much and yes, I remember you sharing your Tat, and was really intriged by what it said, or translations.. I had to LOL about your not caring what others think, reminded me of HR getting my boss at the time to change records as I had checked Caucasion box on forms years ago.....ALL THE BEST and good for you! Well done indeed! Go Anna! Cheers :)

Another great video! Just found your channel and you’ve got some great insight for a young woman, so good on your parents for that! I don’t think we can ever really say, I don’t care what others think, but we can definitely not let it bother us. Water off a ducks back so to speak. Florida is a hard state to leave, me being from MI it’s so sunny here, I’m loving it, glad to see you are too! Happy travels!

You are on a great adventure. It is good to do when you are young. I thought when I retired that I would do something like this. But when I got to that age - there were parents to take care of. Then Covid hit. And other things get in the way - among them just being old. Do your adventure when you are young, free, and healthy. You will never regret this experience - even the hard times will be teachers to you. Safe journeys!

You’re headed to Alaska?!?! Brilliant idea! Ive never been but honestly-it sounds like the way to go. It’s time to leave FL now at the very least…that’s for sure! 😝 Also-just know I’m sending all the positive vibes and encouragement your way! You’ll make a channel when you’re ready and on your own time 😊 ((it’s also great fun to make videos just for yourself to look back on too btw 🙃))

So good. It has been a big struggle in my life to choose my direction and not care so much about what other people think of me. I'm getting lot's from watching your videos. I don't know of many people who are sharing of themselves so honestly and authentically. It makes such a difference for me, and I think it makes a big difference to all who watch your videos.

Hi Anna. I just stumbled into your channel recently. I’m shocked how much I can relate to you. I know very well about sitting in the suck. I was separated from my parents and lived in orphanage for 6 plus years . Got adopted into an abusive family . I ran away from home at 17 never came back. I’m from another country we’re English was not my language and I didn’t speak it. Believe me, I know about losses of loved ones far too much and I’m sorry for yours. I scuba dived in crystal river years ago. I rode a motorcycle for 4 years living in Florida. I do weekend van life as much as I can until I can do it full time. I enjoy your positive attitude and your story telling skill set. I’m glad you have your 3 rules of dating and on the sidelines. Never settle is a great policy. I haven’t been on a date since my divorce from ex wife more than 7 years ago. I have been scared since. Someday when I hit the road and over a campfire we can exchange stories. Keep on vibing happily and write your next chapter full of self love, adventure and forgiveness. Be safe and be grateful for the small things in life...wish you much success and happiness. Thank you for sharing.

*For me it was facing the reality that I seem to be always the one trying to carry the friendship. Like I'm making the plans and providing for people that seem to think very little of me. I always have to "come see them" all the time when the road works both ways. It was like I was trying to please people all the time to be called "A friend" when in fact I was being used as a means for other peoples happiness. I stopped trying to worry about what they thought of me because the people pleaser role was completely one sided and was not healthy. I'm at a way better place now and peoples opinions about me mean very little now. Trying to be all things to everyone is an impossible way to live. So hats off to you not really caring anymore. I completely understand. Its time to find people that appreciate and love time spent with you. Make friendships that are equal and mutual for both people.*
