I’ve been working on touching my hair a little less by keeping it in cornrows because it breaks off if I try to do anything else. I’m still learning how I’d like to care for it. I’ll watch more of your videos for tips. Your hair is gorgeous 😊

best thing I've learned to do for my straightened hair is wrapping it. I wrap directly after finishing and keep it wrapped for a few hours. (also wrap at night) it allows me to use less heat because the wrap makes the silk press so much sleeker

😍😍 Beautiful 😍😍 both you and your hair. A silk press is about technique and products. I would hate for you to damage your beautiful crowning glory. The blow dry stage is key. You should achieve the straightest possible results from that in order to reduce the amount of heat you use with the flat iron. Also use quality products, preferably from the same range as they will compliment each other as they are formulated that way. Design essentials do a range for silk pressing. Remember, every time you put heat on your hair you run the risk of damage and it is cumulative. @@RachealAkua you are so welcome. For the best silk press on KZbin (IMO), watch “Deeper Than Hair TV” and “ReneiceHairTV” They are amazing stylists. They will show you in detail how to get perfect results. Also I used to have waist length natural hair, but it was in a terrible state, so I decided to re-educated myself on my hair, cut it all off and started again. I became ‘Consciously Natural’ not a natural hair nazi, just enlightened. The tips I share with you are from the information I found, mostly from more scientific sources. My hair has flourished from it and I realised I was doing all the wrong things for so many years 🤦🏾‍♀️. As a trained scientist yourself, if you are interested try ‘The Natural Haven’ website at www.thenaturalhavenbloom.com. The contributor is a scientist here in the UK who specialises in our natural hair and is amazing. You will learn more from there than watching a million KZbinrs and most of all read and see the scientific proof. Stay safe during lockdown 😘
