If your ends aren't trimmed well they will snag and break during detangle. My hair stayed collarbone length for 9 years until I learned to trim.

so 2 years later... I went. I had it done a day ago and it now looks like a mix between a good blow dry and a straighten. Maybe because I have type 4c hair which isn't heat trained but it's slowly reverting at an alarming rate. I didn't even get to wear it out in its 'most straight' state because, like 12 hours later (I wrapped it at night), its sleekness is gone. It still feels silky, but if you want to do it for an event, get it done the same day you're going.

I think she wrapped the cotton around you to prevent any dripping of the products, I hate when oil and stuff gets on my face and it can be bad for the skin. Thanks for sharing!

People mistaken straigtening hair for a silk press two different things. A silk press uses certain products and then should be wrapped to get the bounce to the hair when let down. Otherwise its just a standard straighten.

Not always . Silk press should be used with products that have silk in them.. theres products that say silk blowouts or silk shampoo and conditioner ...

Black excellence. Now, black excellence! Did you use shampoo & conditioner for hair color? So, you can keep the colored hair vibrant & avoid dull ends? Heat protector, anti frizz, & serum & titanium or ion plats for your ends everyday. Research titanium & ion plates. When it gets frizzy. Don't wear cotton or sweaters. Change your fabric when the hair gets frizzy. The cotton makes the ends of your hair crinkled, cracked, especially when it gets frizzy. And, a repair treatment focusing on the ends of the strands during the hair cleanse routine.

And what do you think about conditioners & deep conditioners for heat routines, such as steamers, hooded dryers & hot irons? Do hair stores have conditioners & deep conditioners for heat where you are located? Do you think a hair conditioner that heats up as soon as you rub your palms together or rub the conditioner against the scalp would be available for women? Do you think this conditioner will have ingredients to protect the hair from heat damage? Somedays time isn't on my side & I do not have enough time to sit under the dryer. And, my future hubby is has purposeful lifestyle & I need to get dressed in a reasonable amount of time. I'll l be on his time. Most of the time.

Girl I just straightened & trimmed my hair on Saturday. Sunday morning I walked out of the house & it just poofed up. And it's been rainy pretty much everyday since so even though I straightened it again its poofy again.
