After a major surgery, i lost my IT job in Canada. At age 57, no would employ me and I was not fit to do labor jobs, though I was ready for it. For 4 years, i remained unemployed. I passed my time raising my grandson and using my laptop and KZbin to learn new technology. After 4 years, an USA recruiter called me and offered a contract job with a big Energy company in NC. Next year got selected to a new multinational company. Now at age 66 , still working where I'm paid a handsome salary with benefits as a regular full time .

Good Morning Maj Gaurav. Myself and my wife like to listen to your talks. Your talks are honest and sincere right from your heart. Yes, you were destined to do something bigger than your earlier jobs. But surely your initial jobs after leaving army must have laid good foundation for you. More than that, person like you was required to speak for armed forces at national level. Hence we veterans are proud of you. I took premature retirement in the rank of Lt Col after 24.5 years service in army. Yet I was financially shaky in new life. But I had second inning in civil life of 16 years. You are doing well. Dear Gaurav. I keep watching most of your post and I ❤them all. I served Wipro for 40 years from 1982. From day 1 wipro believed and very high on integrity. Last 20 years on behalf of Wipro, I interacted with all Govt agencies by safeguarding the ethics of Wipro and WON every battle very ethically inspite of pressure from both side. There are many Govt officials at all level who appreciated our approach.

Jai Hind sir,I found Golu's story very interesting..how Golu faced hard time.After being retired army officer worked as security shift supervisor and became editor in such a big channel.I am a civilian however having good experience in security(national/international) and now added NEBOSH HSE in my qualification.If sometime you will in need of Safety and Security manager/officer please do let me know 🙏
