Wow that is awesome! 2 of my college professors also came from other countries with radiography degrees, but informed us that they still had to complete a 2-year degree program upon coming to the U.S. If I were you I would contact ARRT.com by phone or mail and ask them if your diploma will count or will you need additional credentials when you get here.

Hi, i’m an accounting student and i don’t know if I should pursue radiologic technology. My counselors and my parents advise against it since fafsa only covers 4 years of school. So if I don’t like xray i’d have to pay for education out of my own pocket. Is it worth it?

Wow that’s a good question! Both career options are 2 completely different fields & you wanna make sure that you do what’s best for you. I’d say do research on both & what you can expect to be doing each day, ie. “A day in the life of an accountant”, how much each field pays, etc., & then try to decide what you’d feel more comfortable with doing. For me personally it’s worth it financially wise, but see, I grew up around people working the medical field & don’t know too much about accounting.

Thank you 😊 it typically takes 2 years! More or less, depending on how many classes you decide to take at once.

@@Chinadollsavvy there are in total 6 or prerequisites right? Woul I complete them if I take 2 classes per quarter?

@@nibmanyebli1111 So each program has different prereqs’ but they all typically have: Basic general ed classes, Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, Algebra, Medical terminology, & an Intro to Radiology class. 2 classes per quarter should be just fine! But I would definitely meet with a counselor at your school of choice to come up with a written out “Education Plan” for those 2 years. Specifically one who specializes in health & science degree programs if possible!

@@Chinadollsavvy thank you so much. I've been a Rad Tech for 7 years in my country, now that I moved to US I have to restart everything😀 I just need an Associate degree to get into the field. The program I'm intending to apply requires 6 prerequisites in total. Thank you for your videos and everything you're doing.

Do u do a lot of math or it’s just for one class ?? I hate math lol

There wasn’t too much math in my program personally, mostly just in our physics class, but the equations were so simple for the most part!

I think it varies from person to person, but for me personally, as well as the majority of my classmates it was radiation physics. We really had to come together, form study groups, & study extra hard for that class! Also good luck to you 👏🏽🤞🏽

Do you remember what occupation she had I’m trying to to get into the program but job to still pay my rent is my problem right now?

Yes! 3 of my classmates were actually waitresses & one also worked as a receptionist at a medical clinic. It definitely helps to have a roommate & a lot of support during the program.
