"My videos reach who they need to" is true. I been through a lot of parallels as you homie but i took different paths here and there. I'm a veteran (oef/oif) and have been through the system and grew up mostly in CA systems once my family came to the US. Now as a viejo with kids, some even grown and myself being retired and disabled now, I volunteer with a few outreach programs and people always ask how and why I still do it. Just like the song said, foolish dreamers. They can take a lot from us but never ever take our cora, our alma, our mindset from us. WE will always have the power to determine how we live each day.

Dubs you are the Ventura county representative because you do it with class, you’re insightful, and your humbleness is contagious. Keep it up man and you’ll be a major KZbinr making millions if you keep grinding like you have done in all parts of your life’s journey and the blessings will keep come!!!!

I used to struggle a lot with addiction and depression and it took a lot for me to start getting out of that. Back then, I didn't have any motivation to solve any of my problems, I would just get some tar and get so high I wouldn't even be able to remember what I was depressed about. Every time I get depressed nowadays or feel like I'm not doing well enough, I just remind myself what I was doing 2 years ago, on the street scroungin up enough change to get my fix n just go find somewhere to nod off, now I'm actually able to provide for my family and they help keep me from getting too deep in my depression since I don't have a lot of downtime plus I'm able to see a therapist now and that really does help when you find a therapist you can really connect with.

Got a lot of respect for what you did what you went through and how you are as a man now. You made the conscious choice to not let them lock your mind up also that's excellent, that being said it's unfortunate that you felt or you thought you needed to sell heroin to other people and keep them ensnared in something that not only were you not doing but you were profiting off of and there's a part of me that can understand why you would I just think that's too bad that you were using the hurt and pain of other people's addictions to help profit yourself and keep yourself in a better situation but it is what it is and I always appreciate you that you're not doing that anymore. Very glad you've turned your life around and are finding success even a little bit on the outside world I hope the same for the people that you dealt heroin to. I wish peace for you and your family, much respect.

I just turned 46 years old a few days ago and what Dubs said here about expectations especially from other people is the TRUTH. This is some really good advice and if you’re younger pay attention to this and what Dubs said here and has been saying ever since he started his channel. I don’t know if Dubs reads these but I would like to ask Dubs if this is like going to therapy for him? Because I can see it being that for him. Which I think is awesome man. It’s like hitting two birds with one stone lol. Helping someone who might not be feeling the best about themselves and then also helping yourself?

Have you listened to the interview between Lucky and Shooter from Perris part 1 and 2 from Hood Stocks? There’s a few things said that had me thinking. Understanding time and the rules, I realized that people are addicted to the lifestyle and not realizing how much of their thinking puts their livelihood in danger. Comparing certain prisons to UCLA or Pasadena. Putting homies lives under trump charges to justify their mutual combats on a smaller homie, or living a drug addiction without proper self care. Inre the podcast interview of Shooter. A reaction would be nice. I don’t hate or dislike the next man for their ways of misunderstanding, it just baffles me when someone over 40 years of age continues thinking foolish thoughts and live a foolish life. Respectively. 🙏🏽 Thank you for your wise words, Dubs. People have to live through pain to have an opportunity of wisdom. But wisdom comes when one lets go of that ego, prays, surrenders and listens for it. Then comes those epiphanies.

Damn bro dudes come out from doing lots of time and have trouble adapting to their new way of life out here. It's hard for them to function. Especially when it comes to getting and keeping a job. It's something they never had to do. When you talk about cellmate going through some shit and not knowing he could attack or kill you is more stressful going through shit like that in there then anything that you can go through out here.

Ok this is the kind of advice and perspective i went to Wes Watson for and we know how that turned out. Most insightful commentary I’ve seen in awhile. The glimpse I got of CDCR treating inmates at KMC and at a few nearby prisons was more than enough to convince me a) I’d be a lousy inmate and b) there is a lot to be said for adjusting mindset when placed in that kind of situation. Wes fooled me - I thought he had that perspective based on his experience (which turned out to be a scam). But I heard some terrific advice today so - gracias 🙏 mijo.

My only regrets about going to the joint a couple tymz are these: 1: not being able to hang with certain friends I’ve known all my life because they’re of different races. 2: Because my mother didn’t get 2 see me daily and it hurt her. 3: Because u become desensitized to the worst shit a man should never hear or see. You’re constantly on your toes in the free world because of how Incarceration re wires your life. It get exhausting even when you’re free.

I can't imagine how mentally you could grasp on to them saying you're in jail the rest of your life that's when you really find out who you are and you're right they can put you in that cell but you grab a book and you can go somewhere else you got to be able to take your mind to other places besides that concrete cell
