Hi Hannah 😃 One of the reasons that excites me the most when going back to school is meeting new people especially Christian people. It is an exciting time for me to hear their testimonies,make new friends, or even make a lifetime friends,and share to them my learnings and testimony in life. I am an incoming grade 11 student this month of August and I am happy to go back to school because everything is new for me. New challenges, learnings,classmates,friends, books,school supplies,teachers, classes,classrooms,environment,and most especially new school complete with new hopes and dreams. It’s scary when the demon that used to attack you at night when you’re all alone and about to sleep starts attacking you in the middle of the day when you’re trying get some work done in a crowded setting. I don’t know if you’re getting it but yeah, basically, I was having an emotional and mental breakdown prior to seeing this video. Like, I was literally bawling my eyes out and then I don’t know why and how. I just opened youtube*while crying* and your video was the first one to pop out. I wasn’t really expecting anything. I thought it will just be the usual study tips etc. I just wanted to divert my attention to something else. But man, what you said are the ones I needed to hear!!! Thank you so much for this Hannah! I am usually a "quiet viewer/subscriber" but this particular video of yours just hits home to me. I really needed this, especially with my academics. you remind me so much of my Tita (in a good way), she gave me a rosary and a prayer book before I left and migrated to Canada, she told me how I should never forget about my faith in God because He is always gonna be there whenever I need Him. It has been a tough 4 years living here, culture shock and homesickness really hit me hard like a brick. I suppose I got distant with my faith and God through those 4 years of trying to ease the pain and loneliness of being away from family. and today I am trying to go back to my faith (I used to go to church every Sunday when I was still back in the Philippines), I will try and listen to sermons to replace my lack of attendance in church. and this video gave me more motivation to regain my strength of being a believer in God and my faith in Him. Before I tell you why I am excited going back to school, I just want to say how inspiring words you have said on your video. I myself is also a high school graduate, and I am taking up Nursing. Before I was a lazy high school girl who hates studying and only read my notes a day before the exams, but with those verses and also your inspiring words I was inspired and I will surely do this on our midterm exams. This school year is quite different for me. I have been going to the same school for 12 years, and for the first time after more than a decade, I’ll be moving to a completely different place, in a completely different university, with a completely different kinds of people. This new school year excites me because it's my first year of being a college student! And the most amazing part is, I got into my dream school. This year is a year full of changes and adjustments since this is the first time that I will be away from my family for a very long time. I've already known ever since that going after a dream entails sacrifice, and I feel it in my heart that it will be worth it. Leaving my family and my friends in the province just to study here in Manila is a big move for me, but I know that God will guide me in every step of the way. What a great timing to watch this. What keeps me excited to go to school is the fact that it will be my last year in highschool. I'll be able to finish this whole roler coaster ride, and ofcourse make my parents proud (hopefully). I want all of my hardworks to pay-off at the end of this year. Our school year already started since i'm in a public school, but at the moment I'm bombarded with lots of activities and it seemed like hopeless na ako masyado and I worry a lot. There are sleepless crying nights. Mahirap ipagsabay ang personal problems sa academic problems and my whole mind is blowing-up. Because of this, my faith with the Lord was tested. Tbh, I remember always dreading the final days of summer vacation in which I knew school was right around the corner. The only highlight for me was school shopping because for some reason I really enjoy it, but the thought of losing the ability to relax and be stress free would plague me during that last week of summer but this year, things became different because this will be my last year in highschool and I'm actually sad about it that's why I am so excited and happy to be back in track and learn new things in classes that I actually want to take and find interesting. And I'm equally excited to be with my classmates and friends again. Basically, I am overjoyed to go back to school because it truly has become a second home to me. I am truly happy that I studied at my current school because this experience molded me of who I am today and gave me the chance to meet new opportunities and people that I treasure in my life now. And I cannot wait for all of the opportunities, both academically and socially, that are to come in my last year in high school. There are actually a lot of stuffs that I expect this school year (well actually, I already started last June). First is, I’m going to face and explore another journey in my life which is the Senior High School. Aside from the new memories ahead, I’ve been wondering what ideas that I’m going to take and learn since I’m taking Arts and Design track, and that means I do have a chance to learn and experience more on Arts (which I’m really into). And I know that I won’t be able to learn all of these easily without challenging myself to get into it along with all those barriers that I may encounter. But still, I have to remind myself that I should not let myself down because of these challenges because I know that I can do all these thing (which is my studies) through Christ who strengthens me (Phil. 4:13) and by believing in Him, I know that it will make myself stronger and braver to conquer the battles in my life. And also I will be able to learn more through these challenges especially in my failures but what is said that the only thing that I need to do is accept the fact that there are reasons behind everything and I’m doing all these for Him and for my family. And also what I’m excited for Back to School are the school supplies of course because since I’m willing to try going into the field of visual arts, it means that the more and good quality supplies, the better it is to take along with me this Senior High School where also I got to have a chance to socialize with my new classmates and people since I’m experiencing another environment. :) #BacktoSchoolwithNBS

I'm already in school actually but I've never gone back to school shopping kasi my dad's having a hard time to set a side money for me and my sister to use. What I "looked" forward to is to have fun in my track which is Arts and Design. Some ppl say "its such an easy track" or "what kind of jobs do u even get by taking Arts and Design?" Imma be taking arki for college and some of my fellow schoolmates are too. Just because they think arts is easy believe me its not because every single track has its own difficulties and it also depends on how u handle yourself throughout your journey in senior high. I loved the last quote from your pastor. I realized that I've been stressing myself out because I have a lot of tasks thrown at me and its overwhelming. We never have to do it alone as you said. School may seem painful but we get to learn new things everyday that molds us to be better and be ready for what's ahead. Why I'm excited for back to school... First off, since I'm grade 7 which also means that it's my first time in high school, I can't wait to experience a new start. Grade school is good and all but there are a lot to expect in high school. Lots of my friends told me that high school could be hard and it is very different from grade school, but you know what, life is an adventure and i will explore high school. I'll try my best to get my grades high and survive 6 years of my life. It's time to start a new chapter of life and finish it with a bang! The first part of the video was really inspiring. I was crying (no jokes) because I was really having hard time right now with my studies and my life in general and because of what you shared I was reminded that I was never alone in this battle. Thank you Hannah Anyway, I'm always excited every BTS but this year is extra exciting. Its because it feels like I'm given another chance to make it up to my failures last time. Supposedly, I should be graduating last June. However, I wasn't able to finish my thesis. It really affected me and my family as well. I felt like I was a failure, my depression became worse and worse everyday. It was a battle on how to keep on living. As days passed I started to accept my fate and made a promise to come back stronger on the next school/academic year. A minor setback for a major comeback kind of mantra. Moreover, with what you said in the first part it reminded me to always pray to God and to trust Him no matter what. “Some say that we live in this world in order to find true happiness” -unknown. The reason why I'm excited for this upcoming school year is because I will get the chance to finally apply one lesson I've learned last year, which is, “True happiness comes from serving other people”. The moment I realized the reason why I'm not happy is because I have wasted my whole life doing nothing and just being lazy, I then challenged myself to get out of my comfort zone. Getting out of my comfort zone means I have to do things I haven't done before. Yet, along the way I got so focused on what the outcome would be and with finding my own happiness that I became selfish. I've forgotten that I still have responsibilities other than myself. Some of which are to be a good friend, citizen, and daughter. I was so engrossed with improving myself that I've neglected other people. Then when I was finally able to accomplish my goals which would make me happy and see for my own self that I improved a lot I've realized that I'm still not happy. Considering there is this feeling that something is still missing. Then one day it hit me while I was reflecting that happiness does not only come from loving and improving yourself, but also by helping other people. So this upcoming school year I will challenge myself to find ways on how I could still grow and at the same time help other people find their happiness. Helping other people find their happiness means that I have to be responsible enough with my duties so that I will not be pabigat to them, reaching out to people more to make sure my friends and family are doing okay, giving my 100% in everything I do may it be homework or household chores, doing unexpected things out of love, and most especially offering these things I will do to God. For true happiness will only come from helping other people and saying no to yourself. Thus, applying the lesson I've learned last year which is “Serving others is the key in order to find genuine happiness”. #BackToSchoolwithNBS

Hi Hannah! What makes me excited to go back to school aside from it will be another step toward graduation (OMG! I can feel it already... 2 years more... and I'm finally a degree holder!!!) Anyways, the first reason that has been keeping me excited for BTS was first, I LOVE FRESH START! Because there's always a special atmosphere at the beginning of a new school year--- new hopes, new dreams, new opportunities, new possibilities, new me! It's basically the chance to put the past behind me with a clean slate and even completely reinvent myself. Secondly, I'm looking forward to this upcoming school year because it's the perfect time to meet new people, hear their stories, and make new friends. Because after all, school is not just about learning--- it's also a place where there's always something fun to do and some people to hang out and get along with. And the last reason that makes me excited for BTS is "I get to be myself." I don't know what it is about college, but it really just brings out the comfort in me to be my "real" self around people. Whatever it is, I love going back to school because I can truly express myself. The feeling that you got a better sense of your self, your brand, your identity, YOU. Literally cried with amazement while watching you video. This is what you called "quality-content", ppl. Honestly, I can't really say I'm excited for the rest of the school year because we just finished our 1st qtr exam today and I'm already drained and tired. But after watching your video, I'm reminded of God's plan for me. I just wanna share this verse from the Bible, "Jesus replied, "You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand" John 13:7. We've already started our academic year. And this year, I am very much excited in trying out new things, as the first born in the family, I've always stayed in my shell. But this year, I joined the volleyball team, the journalism team and also the clubs that I actually wanted. I already talked to my parents, convincing them to let me take the strand and course I would like to take in senior high and college respectively. This year, I wanted to be more of myself. I learned how to love myself more, and I am excited to actually love other people in the sense of how I love myself. Also, I study in a science high school which made me sacrifice time with my family and friends so I am very much excited to see and hopefully bond with them again. This year, I also engaged myself in spiritual activities which helped me believed in myself. I am excited to go back to school, because finally I can be me. I accepted the fact that it is okay, not to be okay as long as you don't lie to yourself.
