You know, everyone talks about how evil Hitler was, and indeed he was an absolute monster. But one of the most frightening takeaways from this unfathomable and inexcusable nightmare is how many people willingly participated. Isn’t that terrifying?

One of the issues was the communities of people surrounding camps were completely unaware of the realities of what was taking place. Was it their fault, I don’t know times were different than. There were those that toured the camps coming out horrified collapsing in disbelief and for not knowing what took place.. and actually there were many people in those communities after walk through that took their own lives. ! There are videos out there showing towns of people walking through after the liberation coming out the other ends of camps collapsing because they had no idea!!

There is no way they didn’t know. They knew. Some may not have known the EXTENT aid the evil, but they knew. Many many survivors have told of being marched into town to do forced labour or on miniature death marches. Some towns people even requested the prisoners to work in their homes as slaves. The people looked at them like rats and abused them while they flirted or talked with the officers. VERY FEW tried to help and were punished, but most just looked away. They ignored it. They smelled that horrible stench of death. You can’t hide that. It goes for miles. They saw the smoke they saw the transports going in. They saw the propaganda videos featuring footage of the camps. They heard the rumors of executions. They heard the rumors of disease. They knew. They just didn’t care or chose not to look. They ignored it. Kept their heads down while millions died. Until the liberators MADE them look. They may not have known of the mass extermination, but they knew people were dying in these brutal and horrible conditions. Some killed themselves from guilt that they never helped. Some because they couldn’t live with what they allowed. Some people they were scared of being arrested. But they knew.

This was so emotional to watch, but if there is one good thing I see, it’s the power of forgiveness. Sometimes, even if we are not in actual shackles, we remain in them when our hearts can’t see past the pain, I believe we do need to mourn all the pain, but Forgiveness as hard as it sounds, it’s the only door to freedom. I’m so glad she finally got to experience it. May your soul always shine bright. ❤️

Jesus forgave us all, and paid for your sins; so you can experience true love in your heart and live in eternity. Don’t hold a gate of dark hate over your heart. That hate may protect your heart from breakage as it grows into a stone, but it also will keep out true Godly love from being received. There is no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend. 💖
@VictoryAviation
@VictoryAviation 3 жыл бұрын
@@staciahfriendofthemosthigh7049 Laying your life down for your friend has absolutely nothing to do with forgiveness towards someone that murdered your family member mentally and physically over decades of time. And, although I respect your belief, not everyone feels the same as you do about your religion. Forgiveness is a highly revered human characteristic no matter what religion or spirituality you follow. Still, not sure I could fully forgive someone for such a heinous, fully intentional crime.

Sincerely saddened by what was imposed upon you. Proud that you have the courage to share these details. Hindus need to also do this about the horrors they endured. It will serve as a catharsis for both themselves and future generations.

I don't think I would be capable of actual forgiveness, maybe eventually find peace with it, but never forgiveness for intentional cruelty...

The fact that this is happening right now to Muslims and that humans haven't learnt that this is wrong. If in a few years hopefully this is over, people will be talking about people of this time. It's good that people are taking the fact of the second holocaust into consideration.
