I remember when I had seen her in a school assembly, She had given an amazing speech and everybody had rooted so much for her. Then when she was leaving, I gave a her hug. My friends laughed thinking that I had made a fool out of myself. But surprisingly, she gave back a warm hug. It felt so warm, somewhat felt like I was hugging my mother. (My mom had died when I was 7). I told her about how the hug made me feel like it was given by a mother and also ended up telling her that I didnt have one. After she heard this, she literally teared up with joy and hugged me again. She told me I was a strong girl and then she left.

Hearing her story on KZbin is one thing, but meeting her and learning from a person who has faced an unbearable amount of pain yet still has the heart to forgive is a life-changing experience. She told me her story and shared how her museum had to be rebuilt again because an anti-Semitic group had burned it down and how even today we are still dealing with these kinds of issues. dutchie here. i just visited auschwitz a few days ago and decided to come back to this video. back in school we were tought a lot about ww II due to the impact it had on our country. even while visiting that place, you dont fully realize what went down there due to it being so inhumane and awful. Eva is so incredibly brave and I want to thank her for sharing her story. In Birkenau there is the monument saying "for ever let this place be a cry of despair and a warning to humanity, where the nazi's murdered about one an a half million men, women and chilren, mainly jews, from various countries of europe" written in 22 languages and it indeed is important that we keep sharing these stories as a warning to human kind and in respect to the victims and to never forget what happened. RIP Eva. Thank you for being so incredibly brave and for sharing your story.

TO hear what she went through from 3:40 on hurts. It really, really pisses me off that there exist people who dismiss the entire Holocaust as fake. There are survivors, videos, pictures, and the damages to buildings from the war still exist. To dismiss the torture and to belittle their experience is just a terrible thing to do. It makes me afraid for what lies in the future, when there are no more survivors to speak the truth.

this is so powerful. it makes all of my petty high school drama seem so ridiculous. if a woman who was on the brink of death, lost her family, and was experimented on by nazis could learn how to forgive them, anyone can. Eva, if you ever see this, I want you to know that you are so strong and so brave. I could not imagine going through what you went through and finding a way to forgive the people that caused your pain. you are such a role model and a wonderful person. it blows my mind that you could be filled with so much hate and still learn how to forgive. thank you for sharing your story with the world and for showing all of us the power of forgiveness

Brittany Jones: If you were abused you should sue the moment you turn 18. And report any abuse to your social worker and the police. If it's sex abuse report it to the police even if it happened years ago.
@carolhutchinson77637 жыл бұрын
Brittany Jones: You can still do a civil case against both the social service dept., the foster parents that abused you, and whoever chose that juror. Less evidence is required for a civil trial. In criminal trials it's beyond a reasonable doubt; in civil trials less than that is required. If you don't have money, there are lawyers who will do it for a % of the winnings. If even that fails, small claims court is free but the award would be limited to $5,000-$8,000. You might have to specify what you need the money for in some states. Say counseling for post traumatic stress disorder. I also think you should write to your state legislators, governor, and head of the Dept. of Social Services (might be called something slightly different in your state) about what happened and tell them the foster care system needs more controls. Some states or charities pay for foster children's higher education after they graduate from high school. It would be a good idea to look into that. I wish you good luck in the future. You shouldn't be alone in the world. I hope you find good people to live with and a good man to marry when you become an adult.
