This is how I follow the lecture and take notes actively. You handwriting skills don't matter when it comes to taking note effectively and remembering the study materials. It's easy to create pretty notes but the actual impact it has is minimal, and it is time-consuming. Instead of taking pretty notes, try to focus on watching the lecture more than once while actively learning the lecture. Today I explain what is active learning and how you can implement it yourself when you are studying.

Thank you so much for this video! Really need a vid on how you make anki flashcards from notes as you said!! I started using Anki a month ago and I know I have much to improve. One of my major problems seems to be unable to set short questions with short answers. Approximately how many questions would you set for eg. a 1-hour lecture? Do you add new questions on subsequent rounds of revising the same lecture or set all the questions in one go? (In my case, setting them all in one go is too tiring and can take a day and I could not balance my time) I also wonder how to break down complex processes or a flowchart from a powerpoint slide into anki questions. For example, I have a flowchart from my class on what problems do prolonged APTT, PT and so on indicates. I did not break down the flowchart and the card became very daunting each time i come across it. Should I have made separate questions but paste the same slide on all of the questions I made from that chart? Thank you so much for your advice in this video and I will try out your techniques right now!

No problem! I make around 150-200 anki cards from each lecture. You can use the same questions, it might save you some time.
