Come and see how I taught my 3 year old to read by age 3? I talk about why teaching phonics is so important and how you can easily teach your child to read easily and fast. I have been a homeschool mom for 10 years and I developed an easy way to teach reading that I want to share with you!

Jady is amazin!!! ❤❤❤ I was always sceptical about teaching kids reading too young. I thought parents maybe rushing kids into reading or writing. But when my youngest, 4 yo at that time, was clearly showing that he wanted to learn (repeating alphabet after his brother, trying to spell out the words and trying to connect letters on his own) i saw that there was no reason to hold him back. So i did exactly what Jady has suggested: Made letter flashcards and we were learning letter sounds once a day only in a playing way, he was pointing at it with s train, his favourite toy. Then we started blending and so on. Jady is being God-sent!!!❤❤❤ thank you for your priceless advice❤ we learned in a fun way and completely on childs interest only. He loves books even more now because he gets to read his fsvourite train stories sll by himself at age 5 Thsnk you Jady!!! God bless❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I modified by having her use the letter sounds with body movements to use sight, sound and kinetics. The sticker were a great motivator ❤❤❤ Thank you

Hey Jady! I started several months ago by making the letter flash cards that you recommend and saying the phonetic sounds of the words and my 2 sons (3.5 years old and 1.5 year old) loved that. They both caught on really quick. Then I bought your 3 Elemental Phonics printables from TPT back in August and my 3.5 year old is flying through the lessons. Thank you so much for sharing your system! It is so easy to follow and we have been having fun spending time together learning to read 🤍 Hope you and your family are doing well!

Hi! I've been trying to apply this system with my 3.5 yo daughter in our native language that is Italian (we are Italian and live in Italy). She knows all of the uppercase letters (sounds) and some lowercase. We're definitely are going in a much slower pace, since I'd like her to learn English as a second language, I homeschool her for Italian and she goes to an English school for a couple of hours a day so at the end of the day we aren't able to do much because she's tired of structured learning, but we do at list 5 minutes a day and I can see improvement in both languages. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You are amazing.. I'm redundant because every time I write that you're wonderful 😊

@@mel_e2346 go to your local library and they should have sections on different grade levels. My library has read on your own section and my son picks his books because he can read fluently. They’re also tests online to see what level your child is. If your child goes to school tell the school to test your kid and what his reading level is. My son was reading fluently and writing by the time he started PreK and so in Kindergarten the tested him and decided to move him up 2 grades and when we refused they suggested we should move him up to 1st grade at lease but I wanted him to experience kindergarten and not rushed him after he completed kindergarten I pulled him out to homeschool but I think for second grade we’re thinking of Islamic private school so he can get the social skills but in a environment with morals and values and he will definitely be more challenged there because they put pressure in learning and knowledge then mainstream public schools.

I'm using your Elemental Phonics Level 1 with my 4 year old. I require her to read it correctly two consecutive days before she can tick the lesson page as complete and colour in the lesson box on the progress chart at the front. I also write the date the lesson is completed next each lesson on the progress chart so I can use it as a record/evidence of progress for the authorities. I'm UK based and they prefer work to be dated. I have found your program simple and effective. Thanks for creating it for us! Highly recommend to parents considering using it. Simple but very effective. Only requirement for level 1 is your child first knows their consonant sounds and short vowel sounds.

Sounds I wasn't sure why since she knows her phonics sounds . I already knew she couldnt blend or read but i hope with these quick lesson shell be able to do better in center when at school. I dont want to push so much on her but I also want her to believe in herself when she sees others reading or doing better . She's a smart girl but with daycare losing teachers in spring through summer they didnt do anything to get her ready for K as promised. Thank you for always sharing your tools with us all!

I am struggling to keep my 7 year old engaged when it comes to learning to read. He is incredibly strong with numbers, but falling behind with letters/reading. I unfortunately worked far too much when he was younger and one of my biggest regrets is not making the time to really focus on learning letter recognition, sounds, etc. and now, in 1st grade he is struggling. I’ve been a huge fan of your videos for years and appreciate how much you break things down and the resources you provide. I’m trying to find ways to really really focus on getting my son caught up to where he needs to be so he doesn’t fall behind. But I’m struggling with keeping him engaged with it because he gets frustrated. I’m thinking I need to start at the beginning and instead of trying to teach the actual letters + sounds + sight words all at the same time. Trying to do this on top of school for 8 hours, then homework & reading, has been tough. While also not using all of his weekend time on learning VS playing outside with friends. Also, English and reading was extremely easy/natural for me (my weakness is math) so i also find it harder to teach it in some strange way. ❤ thank you for all of your amazing content!

I cannot wait to try this with my daughter. We are a homeschooling family. My oldest was in public school from the time he was 3 to 9 and he was diagnosed through the school with dyslexia and I'm pretty sure his sister has it as well. She's 9 and we have tried Barton and AAR. My son did Barton in school so he already knows how to read but that didn't work with my daughter so I'm just very excited to start her on this. It took her forever to learn letter recognition and now she's working on letter sounds and she knows a lot of them already so she has made so much progress but still struggling to blend sounds to make words so I think this will really help her. I will let you know how it goes :)

Do they do that in school cause I doubt my mother ever did sight reading flashcards with me and I dont know if school did either but I learned to read well regardless and read above level throughout school.. is it just good for confidence? Helps them with words they cant sound out so that they dont get discouraged?

My sister is a elementary school teacher in the UK and she came to visit me and brought me bunch of books to teach the phonics to my then 13 months old son who I knew was interested in learning because I would read to him from the time he was in my tummy. By the time he was 18 months old he was reading at 3 years old he was a fluent reader. He’s now in first grade and he’s doing 3 grade maths and science. He reads poetry now at bedtime. I truly agree with Jady start with the phonics and letter signing first. In PreK my son was reading 2st grade books and his teacher told me that he would be in trouble once he is in kindergarten because he would be so bored and she was right. After kindergarten grade we pulled him out and now he is homeschooled.

I taught my child to read at 3 by reading baby books and my own books in front of her out loud while pointing to each word. I did that since birth naturally and I was gobsmacked to see them read on their own somewhere at age 3. It wasn't my intention to get them to read by a certain age. They could even read in my own language which I never read any material from.
