This is one of my favourite videos to watch! Before the coffee gets cold is a magical realism genre!
@MichaelaChristineReads5 ай бұрын
Thank you! I knew Before the Coffee Gets Cold had some kind of time travel-ish element (something like that I think, I like going into books blind so I could be completely wrong) but couldn’t place it in a genre in my mind so I just called it literary haha

I love how pretty your spreadsheet is! And I love the focus on finishing out series, that's definitely something I need to focus on more. I would love to see a video on how to recreate this spreadsheet! Or a template version that can be copied on Google Drive

Thank you! 🤍 It definitely has helped me focus on finishing series, it's so easy to just keep starting news ones if you don't have a reference of how many you're already reading haha It seems like there are a few people interested in how I make my spreadsheet so I'll work on making a video tutorial/explanation in the near future 😊

@@MichaelaChristineReads Sounds great! I look forward to seeing it. Thank you for taking the time to reply to me 🥰

Of course! 🤍 I just have some other videos planned first (that are hopefully exciting for people other than me) but I’m always happy to talk about my spreadsheet haha

Oooh I absolutely love your tracker!! Mine is a bit different but I might make a few adjustments after getting inspired by you 😊

Thank you! It always makes me happy to share ideas, so much of my own tracker is based on what I've seen other people do and modified to fit my own preferences 🥰

I am currently trying to figure out how to make these progress bars (it's a hassle so far, so I salute you!!) That spreadsheat is really pretty! I've updated mine a little after watching this 🥰

The progress bar definitely took me the most time to figure out! I’m glad you were able to get some ideas from my spreadsheet for your own 🤍

As I'm getting into reading series this looks like such a good way to track it all! And I love the aesthetic. Would you consider sharing the sheet or making a video on how to make one for myself?
@MichaelaChristineReads5 ай бұрын
Thank you 🥰 I can definitely look into making a video on how I make my spreadsheet if people are interested! I really enjoy making pretty spreadsheets so it could be a fun video idea to show how I do it

@@MichaelaChristineReads I was so impatient that I made my own database in Notion, but it is all based on yours! So thank you for the inspiration. Also I'll be happy to watch the video if/when you make it! Always looking for more inspiration.

Amazing 🤍 I've never used Notion but I've heard people love it!

@@MichaelaChristineReads I've just started getting into it. It has a bit of a learning curve, but then you have tons of possibilities!

This is super detailed and useful! My partner is huge into spreadsheets and is working on a reading one for themself and I might have to show them this for some ideas!

Thank you! I've had my spreadsheet for over a year now and it is definitely more detailed now than when I started. I hope some of the ideas are useful for you partner! 🤍

@@MichaelaChristineReads I'm glad to hear it's been so useful (also the visual aesthetic is sooo pretty!). I use a very simple spreadsheet by publication year to keep track of my TBR but nothing this in detail. I might have to try something a little more like yours with some formulas!
@MichaelaChristineReads5 ай бұрын
I spent so long picking out the colour palette but I looove it now 🤍 I love the idea of keeping track of publication year for your tbr! I don't have much of a physical tbr so I don't track that part of my reading

Your other series tracker video was the first one I found of yours and I’ve been watching ever since. I created my spreadsheet similar to your currently reading tab for my series tracker.

WoW… Impressive 🤩 That’s too much work for me… I can barely keep up with my Goodreads & Storygraph 🥺 How about some piano videos? Can you play Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto 1? That’s my favorite 🎹 😉
@MichaelaChristineReads5 ай бұрын
Thank you! It’s definitely not necessary to have such a complicated tracker but I do find it fun because I’m weird haha my piano skills are not what I would call good so no Tchaikovsky is happening in this household haha

Are you planning to make it available for people to copy? I'd love something like this because I'm doing a project of reading 50 series (or getting caught up with them) before I turn 50, so I have a lot of things to track and something like this would be great to help do that.
@MichaelaChristineReads5 ай бұрын
That’s such a fun goal to have, I hope it goes well for you! I’m actually working on making a video that will be a tutorial/explanation on how I made my spreadsheet so that way people can make adjustments to fit their goals and tracking needs🤍
