Yesterday my back went due to a devilpress during a group workout. And damn it really hurt! I LOVE working out and trying new different things and now I`ve realized just how important my physical health is to me. I lie in bed and often think about what next thing I want to try and especially now that I´m injured. But also what I´m longing for doing again when my back is good again. Thank you for sharing Lucy, makes me feel less alone about it all

It took me a year - a YEAR - to gain the flexibility necessary to do Front Squats comfortably, with the weight properly resting on my shoulders, not my hands. Best investment in training I ever made aside from running. Fastest quad development I ever experienced. Better than back squats. I'm a bit tall with long legs and back squats, even with a wedge, hit my lower back more than my quads. Front squats immediately start making my quads better. And I have enough life left in my lower back to do a hard deadlift session in the same week. Age? 62.

Great video! Love the explanations in the workout. So sorry your injury is affecting you like this but you will ALWAYS be happier after the fact, that you prioritized your health and healing. :) I have a number of chronic illnesses and I get so sad when going through a flair and I can't work out but I always come back stronger (mentally) and with more determination!

Hey Lucy, your videos have given me so much confidence in the gym so thank you. Do you any advice for hip flexibility impacting squat form? I feel as though I can’t go low enough without my knees going over my toes because of my hips? Xx

I attempted the 4x4x48 last week as my first dip into an endurance challenge, failed halfway through with an injury… the outside of my foot was so painful! Felt so disheartening still not pain free! Stressing me out 🙄
@brutice5911 Жыл бұрын
Is the pain on the bottom of your foot or near the ankle? Maybe you were pronating strangely?
@emilyoakess Жыл бұрын
Haha! Always tap the can before opening!
