6 years ago I ran a marathon, but wasn't able to fully train for it (stupid hurt knee, stupid wedding), and it definitely led to some bad baaaaad results. So I decided to try it again, but this time fully train AND do strength training along with it. Did it work? Did I get destroyed again? Who's Banksy? 2 of these questions will be answered.

I ran the Philly marathon this year. My grandfather died of covid earlier this year and a month later my dad went to jail. So I wanted to honor my late grandpa and prove to myself I can respond to grief in a nondestructive way. My longest run of my life prior to training was 7 miles. I’ve been a subscriber since 2009 and always appreciated your “why not give it a go?” Attitude toward life. You have been a relatively large (for a stranger on the internet) part of my adolescence and now late 20’s and I felt partiality inspired by your first marathon video. My goals were to #1 finish #2 not poop myself and #3 finish in under 5 hours. My time was

Im just amazed at how easy you made that every-day discipline look. You were consistent in training and did so well!

I've been taking my little brother to the gym - he's been getting really into running 5k's and is still too young to be at the gym without adult supervision. While we've been there I have stopped being 1/2 as fast as him and am now only 2/3 as fast as him - I'm catching up and it feels real good!

My hometown holds an annual 5k + half + full marathon day, and having never ran more than 2miles, I signed up for the 5k. It was tough, but I learned that my body with training could do it! Then I did the half. It was also tough but I figured, if I can get THIS far, why not the full?

Your family at the finish line was so heartwarming. I may or may not have wanted to shed a tear, but I didn't.

As a Madisonian who recently betrayed everyone by moving to the PNW this year it was nice to see my favorite city. And damn congrats on the marathon! You did it!

So I have hated running since I was really young - I'm a gymnast, powerlifter, Air Force vet....but something about running. ANYWAY because the world enjoys its' cruel irony, my daughter loooooooves to run. She joined her elementary school's track team, and we finished our first 5K together right before Thanksgiving. I was so proud of her. I was so proud of me! We're going to do a 10K in in the Spring, and it'll be the longest (voluntary) run of my life.

Those race photographers are the best. I have a stellar photo from a race I did in Illinois where I've never looked more like an exhausted zombie. 🧟‍♀️😴

I just wanted to let you know that I joined copilot after your earlier videos (I think I started in May), and it has totally changed my relationship with working out. Thank you thank you thank you. Would never have done it without your endorsement and explanation of why it worked for you.

I don't run, but I also don't think I've walked any further than about 6 miles in one day. Though I think in kilometres, which is about 10km. Well done, Craig! Who knew that proper preparation and carefully following steps determined by experts that things would work out? Craaaaazy!

Gosh, I'm always glad to come back to a wheezy vid and see that the... weeziness? is still so strong. Your vids always remind me of really great times through my life. I kind of teared up too - not just because you did SO GREAT and it was so sweet seeing your family there at the end, but then it made me so nostalgic for older days when I'd sit around with my friends watching some weird guy with a beard make 3min videos and we all just thought those times would never end. Congrats on the big marathon achievement, Craig. God we're all old now lol

Maybe this is weird to say to an internet stranger, but I’ve been watching for a long time, and I’m proud of you.

I ran the 2012 and 2013 Chicago marathons and swore I’d never do it again (I trained but not as well as I could have) but now I’m training for the 2022 triathlon. And aiming to strength train too, and do a better job this time

Finally towards the end of the video I googled the distances into kilometres and it got vastly more impressive instantly! Great job!!!
