“Diarrhea ruins everything”. Meaning: if you think you have worked hard and are in control and everything should go perfectly, remember just an ordinary bout of diarrhea can get everything flushed down the toilet (yes, the pun is absolutely intended).

I don’t know anyones phone number. I use GPS and can’t find my way around. I hardly ever use my fingers and hand to write. Now you say I should have a computer choose my words too. Why do I even need my brain? 😐

This is great advice! I'd also add that when I had credit card debt, to get out of that hole, I looked for cards that would offer 0% interest on transfers. I could usually find these that would give you 0% for 6 months to a year and then go up to some ABSURD rate after that. I'd transfer the debt, and set a goal to get it paid off before the 0% offer was finished. Getting that high interest off the debt makes is so much easier to pay down.

If you don't trust yourself with the credit cards cancel them afterwards. If you DO trust yourself not to make the same mistakes DO NOT cancel them. Having available credit and a long history of unutilized available credit will make your credit score skyrocket.

The single best thing I own is a water bottle. The "Coloral" water bottle. I found it because I figured out exactly what and why I wanted it BEFORE even considering a purchase. I didn't find one thing, and get sold on it, or fall down a well comparing thousands of options. Because that invites confusion, overwhelm, and all the biases that our brains are susceptible to. I asked myself "why" - hydration. - not buying plastic water bottles - plastic waste bad - big water bottle annoying, not easy - not easy, don't actually do Then "what" - stainless steel. No rust, no shatter, cleans well, cleans easy, lasts a lifetime. - NO PLASTIC. Plastic breaks, is bad for you and the environment. Not in the cap, not in the lip of the bottle. I don't want to buy something designed to break. - not giant, water is heavy, and filling a big bottle takes time and decreases the pleasure of drinking it, and lowers the likelihood of actually using it as frequently as I want to use it. - not some weird, long, tapered neck BS bottle. If you have an "old-fashioned" glass it has the same amount of water as a tapered glass that looks twice as big. I don't need to look silly be hydrated. I searched until I stumbled across a small, French company that manufactures small batches of a bicycle water bottle from the 40's, and stocks specific locations worldwide. The time invested in finding that water bottle has saved me hundreds a year, for at least five years now. If you buy five plastic bottles a month from a gas station, that's like $15. The reality, is that if you do that much, it's likely more, because buying plastic disposable bottles is a habit. Get some gas, buy a bottle. So for someone else, that's hundreds a year. Let's say having it also stops me from stopping at fast food three times a month. That's like $45. So this bottle could theoretically save me its cost in ONE MONTH. In a year that's $720. Maybe it's nerdy, but in a world of unreliable stuff, having something tangible you can rely on is an amazing feeling No I am not paid by them, lol

Lot's of ways to snag some solo, solitary, personal "gone feral" time. --Go to the park with a notebook. Sit. Observe. Think. Daydream. Take notes. Hydrate. Repeat. Walk back to the vehicle or the bike or even your skateboard. Go home before the street lights come on. --Take a chair to a part of the property you visit the least. Take a different means of taking notes. I like wax crayons and construction paper, sometimes. Make notes. Five-sense your experience. --Put your headphones on, play soothing music or some head-banging mix tape and just watch people. Like a sound track to a video and all the un-paid extras provide a story line of sorts. Yeah, it's ephemeral, then, so is life. --Ride a bike the opposite way that you usually go taking your walks. You do walk, right? See face-on what you usually don't see that way on your walk. That's the whole idea. --Focus your attention on, take notice of the "non-grass" plants (so-called weeds) in your lawn. The colors and textures are awesome. Adapt these to your local situation and your whims. This is my list. Go make your own. Maybe walking is best. Ride 'em if you got 'em.

The fact that you think the ID4 is a good car and that if there were Public transportations you wouldn't have a car it's exactly why you should never talk about cars.... for you a car is 4 wheels moving you around ... and the point is only moving around.... for people like me a car is a magnificent example of human capabilities, a car is 1000s of highly skilled people working together making it possible and last but not least it is the amazing emotion you feel by using one ... even turning around a track not going anywhere ..... and yes I would own more than one car even if I lived in Public transportation heaven .... because moving is not the point .... history, art, engineering and feelings are the point .... EV or ICE it does not matter as long as you can keep on having what makes you feel good ...and.. Please, next time buy a Tesla model Y .. an actually good EV ....

Im rich... not rich by having a ton of money but rich in the sense that I can afford what I need and don't worry about money. Once you get to the point that your job does not control you, its a huge weight off you. Saving and being prepared is everything - people don't get that today. Pay check to pay check is not the way to live.

I am one of those infinitely curious beings. But I wasn’t always like this. I gradually nurtured that curiosity by first only researching what I was interested in. And then I discovered 40K. I dove headfirst into the lore and its stories and characters. 3 years later, I am much more skilled at doing research. Which now allows me to learn about nearly anything that piques my interest. Even if it isn’t something I’d personally do. But my newfound knowledge is something I can share with someone who would be interested, but lacks the time, will, or skill to research it!

When you use google maps and read emails it's just reduction of social media. But actually living without the internet would be interesting especially when you are going somewhere (outside the US you can go somewhere by public transport and on foot easily (Don't try this in LA!)) not using Google Maps it's getting interesting because you have to use maps upfront and then check the times of trains and trams and busses on paper (that only exists at the station because the plans for the people are not printed anymore).. This one was/is the big one for me when living offline
