This man, Christian, epitomizes what it is to be a warrior under the motto WHO DARES WINS! I know exactly where I was when the chaos erupted at the hotel. It was loud, chaotic, and the smell of fire was intense. Chris answered a call for help, and his decades of training and instincts kicked in. Chris quite literally ran into the fire with no regard for himself and executed a rescue mission that saved hundreds. We not only owe Chris our lifelong gratitude but also our RESPECT!!! Whatever the behind the scenes were with the military after the fact, I would wonder if anyone in the hierarchy would have had the ball faced courage to step up and do the same. This unassuming British Special Forces Officer displayed for the world to see what it is to do the right thing honorably. THANK YOU, it seems inadequate. THANK YOU, Christian.

@1life2risk4 күн бұрын
Maybe. I'd like more the comparison to herd protection dogs like Maremma-Abruzzi Shepherd Dog, Owtscharka etc., on the other hand. They are active protectors growing up and living with an for the well being of the herd. Their job is to protect the herd from potential enemies, such as wolves. Their strong protective instinct enables them to work independently, to do things when they need to be done (like the wolves) and they work without direct orders from their handler. I think this strong protective instinct is the the true warroir's instinct.

First off, the film Who Dares Wins was released in the US as The Final Option. I bought it at a gun show in VHS format when it was released in 1982 along with The Wild Geese. Unfortunately the stars have all passed away, including more recently Lewis Collin’s who played SAS Captain Peter Skellen in WDW/TFO. He was a member of the SAS Territorials (Reserves). I was a “young” fireman when it came out in 1982 and I was excited to see a very loosely telling of the Prince’s Gate op. There’s a newer version which is much closer to the real tale called Six Days. Another factoid: American Army Colonel Charles Beckwith trained with the SAS for a couple of years then came back to the States and formed up our Delta Force as a respectful imitation of the British Unit (as our force has also been nicknamed). I have a first edition copy of his book Delta Force that I also picked in that time frame at a gun show. Well done, Christian Craighead, (or whatever your name is), admirable action in a high pressure time of need. Congrats on your past successes and good fortune in the future. Welcome to Texas, USA, brother. Maybe I’ll see you here in Flint, near Tyler.
