The key is to keep trying & being careful while doing it. Also the height of the toilet does matters.

1981 19 years old T-12. You are facing the wrong way. Give yourself as clear a path to the toilet seat as possible not putting the wheel in your way. I would recommend facing the toilet at a 90 degree angle perpendicular to the toilet. This way the wheel isn't blocking you and you can transfer over the frame which can give you some support if you miss the transfer and need to make a recovery and not fall and hit the floor breaking bones. In that bathroom there is just enough room to do it that way maybe not exactly 90 degrees but close, .....closer. That way you have more direct path from the wheelchair seat to the toilet and back. @@MoreThanWalking Yeah....I have just enough room in my bathroom to line up at 90 degrees. Your bathroom is a little tight. Give my recommendation a shot and see....maybe it will work out a little better for you. Good luck....keep rollin!👍

But how do you get your trousers on and off? I'm getting to the stage where I will have to do this kind of transfer.

Hi Dawnie Dawn, I come forward just enough to switch from side to side to pull them down and up. Once i get them under my thigh i push up on either forearm while gripping the back of my pants.
