I applied to UCSD, UCSC, UCLA and Cal as a transfer psych major w/ a 3.6. I had a lot of extracurriculars and good essays so I'm hoping I get in! :) this video really helped.

Bottom line, you just SAVED $20-$50,000 by going to community college first. Also, consider 40% or more freshmen in 4 year colleges dropout, add to that another 20% or more in the second year, and SURPRISE 4 year universities are so happy to see community college graduates.. Someone needs to fill those empty seats, and universities LOVE YOUR MONEY...

omg I’m in the applicant season rn as a transfer student and this helped so much thank you! I’m super nervous about the required question essay, do you have any tips?

i recommend using personal experience and being genuine about yourself! dont add too much fluff bc it's obvious as a readr. good luck!

wahh this is so useful !! tysm ❤️ im hoping to transfer to ucsd fall 2022 as a cognitive science major and this made me feel more at ease abt transferring !! i do have a question tho, i won't be able to finish all of the major requirements (like 1-2 classes), is that okay? or would i have to take those first before transferring?
@NinaTommoGurl3 жыл бұрын
hello! I would email the school to check but as long as you have 60 units cap and a good GPA, you should be fine :) plus you can take the 1-2 classes at the uni too

hi!! im applying to UCs/UCSD right now and I was wondering how the GEs transferred over since there are like the specific colleges inside UCSD. Would I need to redo some of my/all of my GEs for those specific campuses or do you just go right into upper-div classes/major classes? Im super confused on this part :">
@NinaTommoGurl2 жыл бұрын
yea its kind of confusing! i just followed the classes from assist.com and then once i got admitted, ucsd told what ge classes i still needed depending on my college. i got into marshall college so i only had to do 3 ge courses at ucsd.

I know this is late but plzzzz tell me if cc work is harder then high school or not 🙏 and 3.5 is that weight or un?
@walterblanco79832 жыл бұрын
It depends. I've heard some people say that cc was pretty easy and some say it's quite difficult. A lot will probably have to deal with your major but I'd definitely say that cc is harder than high school, as a stem student (my teachers specifically give us a workload to prepare for UCs). As for GPAs, there's no unweighted or weighted, it's all out of 4.0.
@yymaddiesworlds76512 жыл бұрын
@@walterblanco7983 thank you so much for replying. Is it competitive what average gpa do people goes there have? And do the gpa you get in cc add in to your high school gpa or do y'all get a new score, what about you do worst in cc will that lower your gpa. By the way I was thinking health like medical field major do you know about that?
@LittleElectricChickenHeart2 жыл бұрын
@@yymaddiesworlds7651 cc Is very chill tbh, if you’re a full time student it’s easyy but it also depends on your major, I’m a biology major and chem classes are the hardest
@yymaddiesworlds76512 жыл бұрын
@@LittleElectricChickenHeart really I wanna do something relate to medical field not sure if that is gonna be harder than high school class.
