Really good work and satisfying to watch. So how about tax and insurance? How did you deal with that? And what were the costs involved?
@JohnnyGetsCash17 күн бұрын
@@benduke4454 I am a motor trader so I have trade plates (for road tax purposes) and trade insurance. This process of trading up (which is my KZbin series ‘Chop To The Top’), is done on the side so between my day to day motor trade activities, so all the cars within this series are covered by my business insurance, trade plates etc. With regards to tax (income tax), all of the profits made here and throughout my main business are declared on my yearly return 👍

@@JohnnyGetsCash any advice on this for someone who wants to do it on the side but is not a trader?
@JohnnyGetsCash17 күн бұрын
@@benduke4454 I could give a very long list that would probably be a good guide for a start-up, but if I could only give a very quick piece of advice it’d be to try and be the opposite to the traditional image of a car dealer. Sell good cars, don’t cut corners, be honest and the rest will follow. Obviously it is imperative to keep an eye on costs / profits too, but remember that a properly prepared car will always fetch proper money to the right buyer 👍

Johnny love your videos and no doubt you work hard to get these cars back to showroom condition, but some of these figures dont sound right. 10k for 2006 land cruiser? And then sell it for nearly double that. Here in ireland the most expensive one on the market was a 2007 for 12k. And the daihatsu profit was a bit of a stretch to. Not putting down your work at all mate, its just the figures i have a hard time believing.
@JohnnyGetsCash15 күн бұрын
No problem - it’s absolutely right to question what you see on KZbin (as there is a lot of BS out there) but I can assure you that all of the figures I state in this and any of my videos are absolutely honest. I’m sure some of the more regular viewers of my channel will be able to attest to this as more often than not, viewers check the auction results of where I buy cars and can see what I paid, then they will also see my for sale ads and what i ask for my cars. I’ve made several videos referencing how I buy and sell cars and I always create content that’s as transparent as possible (because I don’t see the point in pulling the wool). In response to your comment on the Land Cruiser, it sounds as if you have some cheap cars over there! Similar age/ mileage / spec land cruisers here are still all £15k plus (although my Amazon was totally sorted in every way with no faults and ready to go), also remember that prices fluctuate between when my videos go live and when people can watch them, but overall the prices shown here are still correct. I hope that clarifies things a bit, but please feel free to check out some of my other content and get a feel for how I do things!
