I feel like I’ve been searching all day for videos like this, but for the 15 pro and not the promax… I wish they would include in the titles that it’s the promax- especially since there’s a completely different zoom capability between the two meaning a lot of these attachments for the promax isn’t going to be optimal on the pro quality wise

@@kodascode I feel the same way but they offer a cage that's the regular 15pro but solid black and less kit options. I decided to get a universal basic kit with phone clamp with MagSafe as well and their hub but it doesn't support a reference monitor through the usb 2.0 in their offering for usb-c hubs. Hopefully it'll fit my next phone. I love it so far with almost every accessory they make but it'll be nice if they were more inclusive with the special kits in the future and offer more kits for the basic and universal options as well as it seems you have to bundle on amazon to attempt to make a kit like the Brandon li colab with less differences or offer a mid level.

Dont you have issues with the BL cage ND filter, I sure did, so much so I had to send it back. 1. when using the ND filter, turning the ND would cause the ND to fall off its mount. 2. The ND did not properly cover all the lenses no matter which mount was used. 3. the mount was not 90 degrees meaning to fully mount it the ND on the cage the ND was cockeyed to one side. I received it from SRBL Cage on pre order, so I do not know if those issues had been corrected or they just left them the way they are. The only way to get the ND to be centered was to only mount it 1/2 way onto the rig, and that was simply useless. I am interested if the fist batches out where just defective or if they corrected the ND mount issue. Thanks

Does that rig work on any other phone? I've been using my 13 for video. One day I will get enough guts to publish. I have about half a dozen Samsung 4tb drives storing file backups (white gaff tape is awesome for labeling those things) but I really never thought about connecting directly to my phone.

I think they make mace versions for other phone but I’m not 100% sure about this specific one. The small rig ones seemed to be on the pricey end but I was impressed by the build quality. The hard drive for me makes this whole thing worth it. Speeds up workflow tremendously and I problem should have elaborated on the importance of that more in this video

The hard drive is a great idea… just work off it when it’s plugged into the computer. I don’t know why, but the whole transferring off of SD cards is such a barrier for motivation for me to use my Osmo Pocket 3.

Can you compare this to the DJI Osmo Pocket 3? Is the quality and purpose the same as having an iphone 15 pro max?

Can I ask you questions that will help answer yours? Does the fact that the matrix in OP3 is larger mean nothing? The fact that the OP3 uses large mechanical stabilization, and not simple electronic stabilization, can we not pay attention to this? Is it more convenient to shoot with a smartphone or a camera designed for this? I mean not only how it fits in the hand, but also the controls. And abroad, in a foreign country, would you prefer to drop and break (or otherwise lose) a camera or smartphone, as the only means of communication and device that provides access to other important services?

Like how you show the details. But in the comparisons where you scroll out the super white to more rich colour, I don’t think even my iPhone 12 Pro Max would record such colour poor video. Would you elaborate what device is that in all those white colour ones?

The very flat and white looking footage is something called LOG. Which shoots in a flat colour profile to preserve details so when it comes to colour grading, you can play around with it more than you would without it.

Why not just record on black magic and save the video in h265 in their file folder thus you don’t need a HD attached. Also, small sensor needs more light by so ETTE by 1-2 stops. Say 1600 ISO

The results are undoubtedly impressive but no, not for me. A phone has to be 100% portable and without all this fiddling around: a variable ND is the one exception. Otherwise, most camera offer so much more without all the hassle, the awkwardly dangling cables, the lack of, for instance, a physical zoom lens, a hdmi out, a hot shoe, etc etc. Even the Pocket 3, for all its fiddly oddness, offers a bigger sensor and fits in the cavity in your back tooth, or as near as. Phone rigs, while interesting, feel like a distraction to me, as if the whole advantage of shooting on a phone (and there are a great many disadvantages too) was being lost in the mix.

I was inspired by your video and decided to make a rocket out of an iron. Your design is missing a stabilizer and a microphone. The stabilizer is even better in the Z axis, like Ronin 4D Seriously, is there not enough cameras on the market?! What is the point of this nonsense? Save money? Do something compact? успокойся, чел. Он снимает лучше чем твой осмо покет, даже не смотря на размер сенсора. Я спокойно сматчу изображение с айфона с полноценными камерами, используя его как третий ракурс. И снимает он на уровне хорошей камеры стоимостью в два-три раза выше, с поправкой на светочувствительность и возможность менять оптику.
