DAY 76. 100DOD HOW I UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE There is a learning culture that doesn't benefit people, and so we have five [5] keys that help to grow in maturity and understanding of the word of God. 1. Promise & provision of the bible: We need to know what the bible is driving at, which is salvation. The understanding of the message and the belief in christ is salvation. When you can narrow your reading to salvation and promise, then a lot of things will make sense, which is termed as soteriology. The Old Testament should be seen as the promise of the messiah. Acts 2:27. 2. Identity: Christ was promised, and christ was provided, and he delivered on the promised . So, who am I? What is my believers identification? The word of God must fuel a new identity, i.e.. the renewal of your mind. Who am I because of what christ has done? What do I have? And what should I do about Satan? 3. Meditate: This means saturating yourself in that conviction. When you saturate yourself with a consciousness, it stirs up the possibility in your life. 4. Practice: Focus on the aspect of your life that is lagging, the aspects of your faith that you are not strong at. Create a structure and give the special attention that is needed for a transformation. 1Thessalonians 3:10. 5. Sharing: There is something about sharing the word of God, and feedback helps you dig deeper. There is a dimension of God that comes by experience alone

I learnt alot today. Learnt so much, I have to share my notes. 5 keys to understanding the Bible. 1. Understand the promise and the provision of salvation in the Bible. 2. Identity; Who am I because of what Christ has done? I am a new man in Christ Jesus. 3. Meditate; Saturate yourself with the convictions gotten from the Word. 4. Practice the Word; Find aspects of your spiritual growth that needs special attention and work on it. 5. Share the Word of God; When you share, you get feedback and feedback will push you to revisit the Word and dig deeper. There's a dimension in God that only comes when you DO the Word. The Word of God must fuel in you a new identity.

Take time to check what you are not doing /where you are not growing. If you study the word of God more and have less time for prayers, practice praying. Therefore there is a learning culture that doesn't benefit people. KEYS TO GROW YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORD OF GOD 1. You have to understand the Promise and the provision of the Bible. What is the main objective of the Bible? Wisdom for salvation is the most important thing. 2 Tim 3:15. ▪️To grow in your understanding of the Bible, you must understand the scope of salvation! Soteriology (the study of salvation) ▪️The New testament is a commentary of the Old testament. 2. Understand your Identity. Who am I? How does Chris see me? 1 Cor 5:17. ▪️The word of God fuel a new Identity. Theology must lead to proper confession! ▪️Who am I because of Christ has done? What do I have? 3. Meditate on what you've discovered! Saturate yourself with it! Whne you saturate yourself with the word of God, it stirs up the possibility in your life! 4. Practice! The second key to grow in the maturity of the word of God is IDENTITY. Theology must lead to proper confession, you must begin to see yourself the way Christ sees you. The word of God must fuel a new identity, if it doesn't fuel a new identity, then you are not growing. The knowledge of your new status changes your understanding of who you are.
