Great job redesigning these items and the others you have done in the past. I for one am very happy that you recycle natural and manmade fabrics. We live in a world with an abundance of manmade fabrics and maybe we shouldn't be purchasing them new anymore, but we should be upcycling them so they aren't taking up more space in landfills. I really enjoying watching you and getting to see the gorgeous creations you make. Thank you. My favorite today would be the one with the beautiful blue paisley pattern.

Wow, nice job with these . I also think the tops look great on you, ! I alter clothes as well, and I don’t measure much either! I look for things in the thrift shop for 1 Or 2 dollars, and spend a few hours altering them,, I have more time than money! Tops are easier for me than pants, I did a pair of light cotton pants that were way too big, and I watched some you tube videos and then ended up altering the inseam, and I did a bit of measuring for that project, and they came out good. I couldn’t take the sides in as they had pockets, I think I took them off and on at least 6 times to check the fit, the nice part was the fabric was very easy to work with being a light cotton, and I only paid 1 dollar for the pants so it was kinda a practice project for me! Happy sewing!🧵

Hi, great work on all those items. Trousers can be fixed at the crotch you will need to release the stitching of the trouser legs across both seams in this area so it is all open ( where it meets at a cross under the crotch) resew each seem deeper then sew across where they meet also deeper. You may need to experiment and hand stitch it first to see how high you want it, if there is room you may need to taper the seem also at this point to recut the shape. Hope this helps it is hard to explain without showing. ☺

Loved all three tops. I am really inspired with your upcycles and purchased some men’s shirts to make me a shirt by making new fabric from the shirts. As for your pants, figure out how much you want to reduce your crotch, then carefully remove waistband and reattach it lower from where it was. Don’t forget that your crotch length is longer when you are sitting down than it is standing. Make sure you really want to do this because it is a lot of work!

A good place to find out how to fix your pants is probably on youtube itself. Maybe sewing with nancy, the old tv show has some episodes on youtube. I have the same problem, but i just put them at the bottom of the pile for later!! Lol!!

Love all 3 tops! The white one really compliments you and the black one is so floaty with the peplum. Well done and thanks for sharing your process. I don't have a suggestion for your trousers, because I often turn my waist band over at the front too as to get pants that fit at the back, they are too baggy at the front, for me 😂

If it isn't hanging down to your knees, don't fix it. Comfort is very important in hot weather. To get more fabric in the seat of my pants, I have changed the top by adding more fabric and elastic. You did a wonderful job of making three tops that fit you and are beautiful on you.

Hi LUZ again, I found another site that may help you. I didn't watch it, but its called, fitting the crotch-stop the cycle of adjusting by j. Stearns designs. I wasn't even looking for anything in particular, just flipping thru my feed, and it came up, hope it helps you!

I know what was said about viscose not being natural is true. When you think that it takes 2,700 litres of water to make one cotton t-shirt, that's hardly great either. Any preloved item not going to landfill is great, no matter what it's made from.
