Thank you for sharing. You have nice handwriting. A few months ago, I started a prayer journal. It's so fun and rewarding.

Thank you for watching and it is definitely fun to look back on and see where seasons change with activity.

Thank you so much for sharing your journal. I’m really enjoying my Bible reading right now and my prayer life seems to struggle. Vise versa. If my prayer life is poppin’ my Bible reading stalls. I’m hoping a prayer journal/quiet time will allow me to get both in a rhythm. I love your idea of setting your intentions and following the spirits lead on your acts of kindness. Again, ty for sharing. ROLL TIDE!

Roll Tide! I have to agree with you, Brook. I seem to go in and out of seasons of journalling and or writing scripture. I'm consistent in my Bible reading/study, but I fall short or get bored of writing because it can seem so repetitive for me...so I find a prompted journal, use it, then get tired of being told what to write ~ haha! I think you would enjoy the green journal set up...it offers scripture and prayer around a theme for the whole journal. I'll link it below for you to check it out. :) Let me know if you decide to try it out, I'd love a catch up! cultivatewhatmatters.com/

You know what’s funny about that first “write the word” journal you shared - I have that exact same patterned washi tape. Now I wanna go find it and pull it out of storage and use it !!!!

I don't do well with prompts and structure in journals. In my youth, when I was a very busy gal, I kept a Day Timer that was only filled with appointments and phone numbers. When I attended my first women's Bible study ever, it was the Precept Inductive Bible Study group that was very structured. It also used the NASB which was foreign to me, so I struggled greatly with it. Even though I attended faithfully for four years, I continued to struggle with the structured layout of the pre-printed materials so I started copying the notes from my Life Application Bible in the appropriate places that I was supposed to actually write my own observations down. It's been two decades since I was in the class, and I have finally discovered my own method, so to speak. There's nothing special about it and it is probably bits and pieces I have heard from other KZbinrs that appealed to me. I'm also starting to be a little creative by using washi tape and some stickers and Post it notes. I have always been a highlighter and underliner type of person, so that is the only thing that isn't new to me. I also don't do devotionals. I have always preferred to read my Bible! I watch several videos of ladies who do planners, but I know it's not my thing. I have purchased, and I'm using, Nicki Drake's book she put out on a Study for the book of Matthew. Her method is pretty close to what I do on my own so I'm having fun using her method to do a deep dive in Matthew. Thank you for sharing your journals. It's nice to show others that you don't have to do a strict day by day ritual.

Boy do I get that Carmen! lol I am still surprised I have stuck with my daily workbooks with my chronological study, but I am almost to the finish line, so I can't quit now...it's like I don't want to be told what to write about, yet, staring at a blank page can be just as demanding...I'm happy you found what works for you because I truly believe we are guided and gifted by God to do what works for each of us, and I also get inspiration from other You Tubers ;)

☕Rhonda, thank you so much, Girl - you answered! So many good ideas✏️🗒️Oh and the green one -lime color 💚 Seems like I remember you've done word studies (Hebrew&Greek) or the Names of God in them, right? Okay, one more question, lol, where do find such pretty cute stickers and washi? What character sticker is that on the planner(though I no longer use planners)?💞
@Seasonedwithsalt68Ай бұрын
Hahaha! That sticker on my planner came from my granddaughter, I've had it for a while but didn't want to use it...you know how that goes, buy a sticker but keep it in the "never to be used" stash! lol I ordered some Bible stickers from Kingfolk co (I'll find the link and post it for you...and then amazon sells little packages of random stickers/washi OR Hobby Lobby is my last go to (that requires me shopping in person UGH) lol www.kingfolkco.com/ And actually, I have a big notebook I bought to do "word studies" in but have not even put pen to paper in it...soon though, because when I was grabbing out the lime green one, it was under it...as a reminder, I have enough things to keep my from adding to cart for a while...if I can find where she got that sticker, I'll share...I know it's most likely for a water bottle...and I think its Pixar...
