How I use my Simrad Sounder to find fish | Queen Snapper, Dhufish & Breaksea in perfect weather!

We took full advantage of the perfect weather that was predicted to get out and have a fish off Two Rocks. One of the first spots we checked out was loaded with fish and on our first drop we managed a nice Queen snapper on the Vexed Occy Head Skirt, it was a cracker. As you can see from the sounder shots the spot looked like it was loaded with fish. Another drift and I managed a nice Dhu that nailed my 150g Occy Head. It wasn't long until the current picked up mid morning and the fish completely shut down for us. We managed to get some blackass and a heap of small snapper before heading in early afternoon. The weather was absolutely unreal!

Same thing happened to me a few days ago, 200 gram occy head got smashed by a 8 kg dhu then when we landed it a whole occy fell out and so whacked it on a bottom meat and landed a 10kg dhu next drop

Wicked video, Quick question, what gives you the idea that thered be good ground out in the middle of nowhere? surely you dont go back and forth throughout the whole ocean searching for a lump that is 20NM offshore? is there something specific you look for like close contour pinches when looking on Navionics or something similar? Any advice is much appreciated, cheers.

Generally I will look on the navionics map and look for an area with a lot of depth changes or banks and head that area and start sounding around. When looking for ground I will sit on 10-15 knots and cover as much ground as I can looking for any lumps or interesting signs. Finding spots comes down to spending time on the water and always watching the sounder
